Today's Paulding County Trails Project meeting focused on the next phase of the project: Right-of-Way Acquisition.

The Paulding County Engineer’s Office will be spearheading the hiring of a firm to complete this important project phase. We are excited to continue making progress on this project!

Where We Are Now - Engineering Resources, Inc. (ERI) has completed their preliminary engineering- setting the trail layout and defining impact limits. Right-of-Way (R/W) engineering has been submitted to ODOT, comments addressed, and final plans are underway. The Regulated Materials Review is complete, and ODOT is finalizing the environmental documents.

Once finalized, the project will move to the desk of the Paulding County Engineer for the R/W acquisition phase.

Turning Vision into Plans - Fundraising efforts launched to cover $223,000 in design and engineering costs. Behind the scenes, deed work was completed, land use clarified, and funding secured from the Village of Paulding and the Paulding County Commissioners. Engineering Resources, Inc. was awarded the project after it went sent out for Public Bid. πŸ“
