Super Bowl LX: Special Conditions Feb 4-10
Expect significant airspace congestion. The FAA will implement a slot system for arrivals and departures beginning February 4 through February 10, 2026. The FAA is recommending that flight training including practice approaches and touch and go’s be limited.
If you know you are flying during those times reach out to the airport to reserve an arrival or departure slot. Slots are very limited and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Do not expect to pick up IFR or flight following in the air without a slot. Please only reserve a spot if you must fly IFR or VFR with flight following during this time.
In addition, pilots must review applicable TFRs. PAO is expected to be within the inner ring of the TFR on Sunday, February 8, during which time no arrivals or departures will be permitted.
Pilots should not expect practice IFR approaches to be accommodated within 200nm, and pattern work may also be restricted depending on saturation.
TRANSIENT PARKING
If you hope to park at PAO during the week, contact Rossi Aircraft to make reservations. There is a $500 fee on top of the regular transient parking fee. This does not apply to PAO based aircraft.
