Congratulations to Andrew Katerman on soloing in our Cessna 172, “33R”, here at Reigle Airport back in April. A first solo is a huge milestone and one of those aviation moments you never forget.

A little golden-hour magic at Reigle Airport this evening. “Bamboo Betty” made a smoky flyby and gave everyone on the field a perfect reminder of why we love vintage aviation.

We’ve refreshed our website to make it easier to find information, stay updated, and connect with everything happening at the airport. There’s still more in the works, but we’re excited to finally get this new version online.

After almost two decades with Reigle Aviation, I’ve made the decision to step away and begin a new chapter.

This has always been more than a job—it’s been family. I was raised here on the property by my parents alongside my grandparents, who started the airport in 1942. I was fortunate to spend many years working alongside my mom and dad, creating memories I will always treasure.

Along the way, I’ve built many friendships with our wonderful airport community. This is incredibly bittersweet. This airport and the people who have been part of it have meant so much to me, and I will miss so much about both. So many students, instructors, pilots, mechanics, and staff have made this place what it is, and I’ve truly appreciated the time working with such dedicated and enjoyable people. Thank you all for your support, kindness, and friendship over the years—it has meant more to me than I can fully express.

I’m proud of what we’ve built and deeply grateful for the memories this place has given me.

New management will take over on April 1st, and I wish them—and everyone who continues to be part of this community—the very best.

As I move into retirement, I look forward to new opportunities and the next chapter ahead. Wishing you all continued success and safe flying.
