Passport tip!
Just 'cause your passport's valid doesn't mean you're good to go. Lots of countries need it to be valid for at least six months after you get back. It's a small thing to double-check before you pack, so I always do it with my clients. Nobody wants to miss a trip because of something easily avoidable.

😭 Southwest 😭

Southwest announced changes to its policy, one of which includes checked baggage. 😞

Updates to Checked Baggage Policy:
Rapid Rewards A-List Preferred Members and customers traveling on Business Select fares: two free checked bags
A-List Members and other select customers: one free checked bag
Rapid Rewards Credit Cardmembers: will be credited one checked bag
All remaining customers: will pay to check their first and second bags
Southwest will continue to charge for third and fourth checked bags
Changes will apply to flights booked on or after May 28, 2025.

Updates to Fare Bundles:
Southwest will be updating its benefits to your fare bundles in phases. Whether you're looking for a lower price with fewer perks or more benefits for added flexibility, you'll have the choice to pick what works best for your trip.

Phase 1:
Beginning this month, Southwest will increase their Rapid Rewards earn ratio Business Select fares and lowered the earn ratio on our Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus fares. They will begin to vary their redemption rates across fare products during high and low-demand travel periods.

Phase 2:
Beginning May 28, 2025, a new Basic fare will be introduced. The Basic fare will be the lowest price point and will have less flexibility than other fares. Additionally, expiration dates will be added to Flight Credits; these will vary based on the fare purchased.
