Garden Soil is here 🥳🥳

We are starting on all of our deliveries this week!

As always we ask for patience as spring sometimes starts off rough but we will get her smoothed out quickly 😎

In other news, Im frequently asked what makes our soil different from others.

The main one is that Im probably the only one who actually tests and amends based on said tests, vs just mixing some loam and manure together and calling it good.

We bring ALL nutrients into the right balance for general Alaska gardening, including your secondarys and minors.

We actually farm with our own dirt, so if it sucks, I see why, first hand and quickly.

Anyway, more on that later

Gooood morning!

Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that we will have our garden soil again this year, probably around the last week of April. Available for both delivery, and pick up at Dakota Diggers in Chugiak.

We will be making some moderate revisions to help with hydrophobia, nutrient release timing, and over all soil structure.

In the mean while, you can go ahead and order on the website ( https://ordergravelonline.com )

But be advised no deliveries will be made until we actually have product made.

Additionally, by the time we do get it made, weight restrictions will probably be on, and we will be capped at half-ish loads, and if you need more than 5-6 yards, there may be an additional delivery cost on top of whats listed on the site.

Looking forward to getting past this “winter” and on to summer!

Please for the love of all things good and holy stop mixing sawdust into my soil.

If I wanted it to be there, it would be.

But i have no interest in sucking all the nitrogen out and increasing water retention in a dirt that I am trying to stop water retention in and add nitrogen too.

We already add in bacteria to get the microbial activity bumpin.

Maybe if we lived in florida where it didn’t take 7000 years to break down it would be helpful.

But not round here partner.

Our Organic Garden Soil is ready!! 🥳🥳

Ive spent… wayyy too much time in the lab (my kitchen. Lol) and outside working to curate a soil that actually works well for Alaska gardens, and this should be it.

This has been a multi year project. It is NOT just cow manure mixed with loam sold as a garden soil. It doesn’t harden after watering. It doesn’t suffer from nutrient lock up. Its not hot. Its made by a guy with a life in Agriculture who actually gives a damn

It has an 11% organics matter content, a moderate sand load, and a strong blend of both fast and slow release macro and micro nutrients to keep the garden doing well all season.

I kept PGPB bacteria health in mind when making it.

Feed the bacteria, feed the soil, feed the plants, feed yourself.

Additionally, while I cannot claim that its certified organic, all amendments are certified, and the rest is naturally occurring earth

I mainly made this for general vegitable gardening/container boxes, If you have something specific you are looking for, let me know and I can probably batch that up.
