Sounds about right.

But i wouldn't have it any other way

These pontoon seats came to us with taped up upholstery and rotted wood underneath. We replaced the damaged wood seat bases and redid the upholstery, getting these couches ready for the customer to enjoy again.

The customer chose to keep the original colors, and everything looks fresh while still feeling familiar. If you’re looking for a different look for your boat, we also offer custom color options.

Send us a message with photos of your seats to get started on an upholstery quote.

The perfect finishing touch to a customer’s vision! ✨

We created these custom pillows using fabrics our customer chose to coordinate with their coffee table turned ottoman. Such a lovely way to bring their space together!

It was a pleasure helping bring her vision to life. Thank you for trusting Local Upholstery with your custom project! 🤍

Another boat protected and ready for the water in Dunedin, Florida! ⚓

If you can see daylight shining through your boat canvas, it’s time to start planning its replacement. This cover’s best days were behind it, and the worn material was no longer providing dependable protection from Florida’s sun and rain.

We fabricated and installed a new custom cover using marine-grade Sunbrella® fabric and lifetime PTFE thread. The result is a clean, tailored fit and a new lease on life for this Starcraft.

Is your boat cover faded, leaking, or letting water through? Send us a message with a few photos to get started.

This week we have a special helper in the shop joining us for a school internship, getting a firsthand look at what goes into marine upholstery.

So far he’s been learning how we remove old vinyl, prep cushions, and start the process of rebuilding them step by step. There’s a lot more that goes into each cushion than most people expect — from materials to technique, everything plays a role in how well it holds up in Florida conditions.

He’s also getting a glimpse into the day to day of running a small business and what it takes to keep things moving behind the scenes.

Good progress so far this week — more to come ⚓
