I always tell my customers one of the worst things you could do for a boat is not enjoy it.
The owner of this engine unfortunately was unable to use his boat for approximately 2 years while the boat sat on his boat lift. The result is the combustion chamber filled with rust and rot and unfortunately this very low hour engine lost compression. This happened in just two short years.

Here's a little show and tell for all you folks that like to pump gas station gas. This is what ethanol turns into and does to your fuel system. Not only does the ethanol suck up moisture and put a water content in your fuel but when the ethanol is drying up it turns to this Sandy dirt in your fuel system.
For the price of gas I hate to advise spending more than you have to but marina gas at the fuel docks does not do this!

Been so busy at the shop haven't had much time to post, but here's a good looking 288 Commander we got both engines all serviced up, and a few electrical repairs fixed. She had bad connections, bad circuit breakers, and bad pumps. Now on to changing out the rotted axles underneath this big girl.
