Excell Marine's M/V NEDRA K is southbound at Upper Mississippi River Mile 81 above Grand Tower Chute, using her searchlights to assist with navigation in the breaking dawn.

This stretch of the Upper Mississippi is recognized as one of the river’s swifter reaches, particularly during periods of high water. While conditions are normal in this photo, the area demands the same level of skill, attention, and safe navigation from towboat crews every day.
