Yep. I fix these issues almost daily. Generally if a motor is getting water in only the bottom cylinder it's from the oil injection jug or a blown head gasket. This one was from the oil jug mounted on the motor. Deleted now.

Don't wait to change your impeller water pump.
It doesn't take long to blow a head gasket, then you're mad and blow yours.
I only charge 150 to put in new Impeller kits with new gaskets. If I have to pull the power head to make major repairs, trust me... It's not 150.

Prices for boat repairs.

Over the last 4 years only 3 boats have crossed the 500 dollar mark for repair. 2 of those needed fiberglass repair along with motor work. 1 needed all new electronics.
The average cost of a fixed motor issue leaving here is 150-200 bucks.
That's carburetor kits, new fuel pump/lines. Most common issues. Impeller water pump change for 70+ HP is 150.

This boat sat for 20 years unused. I only had a 1,500 dollar budget to work with from the customer. Now it runs great and looks pretty good considering a low budget. Instead of carpet, I rhino lined it. Here's some pictures of the restoration journey.

They never punched the knockout on this one and used gasket sealer inside the carburetor on the other one. That shiny silver piece doesn't belong in the bowl. 😂
Normally I get carbs from (dealer repairs) that are very clean outside but were never removed and rebuilt.
