At one time they had to add 12 ft to the guliteen to accommodate a lot of shrimp boats. It wasn’t wide enough for the outriggers even lowered To pass. They had to lower one a side ways upon entry then lower the other her because of the width of the vessel. History of this is in a he facts. Also the track that the guiliteen sets in has not been cleaned out. So it probably going to leak at the bottom seal. But I’m just a diver so I’m not sure if it will leak. Shut the guiliteen it only holds back 7ft of water on each side should if there’s seven foot of water on the in side they have to drain it out. If there’s 7ft of water on the out side that’s a lot of water from the gulf. All drainage water from Freeport an velasco is pumped into the old river inside the levy. The coast guard has nothing to do with the closing. It’s the drainage district that controls the operation of the guiliteen. Some one has been a little confused about this situation. An that person needs to step up and get a grip on the situation before it gets serious. And it harms people that are dependent on the situation. I’m sorry that we are not informed by any of these issues and they don’t have any knowledge of or about anything else but s**t it down

Why do the people have to pay for the ones that failed to pay for themselves for insurance or borrowing money from the insurance companies and not pay it back Lord help us the people who pay taxes an continent for. Social security that we as Americans saved and they drain it. God bless Americans

Does anyone know how much money is in the funds for the city to economic policy for city hall for the rainy days fund and your tax bill for the so called rainy day Dang. It’s not raining here but it’s all these millions are not being so un used resources for all the people Just like EOC that have gave certain people to expand there businesses for certain reasons they seem to be available for the good of people me I never got a dime for transportation services for the people. It’s like the port and Baptist church that’s on port property and pays nothing but is funded by our tax payers god bless the church which has no services except for all seamen
