FLEET MECHANIC NEEDED

Overview:

We are a growing trucking company, mechanic shop, and parts dealer looking to add more diesel mechanics to our team.

You will be provided a service truck for all off-site work if needed.

We prefer 1-2 yrs. work experience but will accept the right candidate!

You must have your own tools.

If you have a CDL that's a plus but not necessary.

There are many personal perks and incentives. Six paid holidays included, overtime pay, PTO, vacation time, bonuses, health insurance, and IRA with 3% match.

Duties:

- May include overhauls and wet kits
- Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues
- Conduct routine inspections to identify faulty components
- Work on a variety of equipment including tractors, trailers, and heavy machinery
- Operate air brake systems and perform necessary adjustments
-Clean up after yourself

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot effectively
- Experience in tractor-trailer maintenance and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time would take part time.

-No less than 40hours a week, plenty of hours.

Some days I just stop and reflect on how far we’ve come…today is one of those days. And I can’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude.

Jake Thompson Trucking started with a vision and a whole lot of hard work, but it’s the people around me who turned that vision into something real. Every driver, mechanic, and team member plays a vital role in what we do, and I just wanted to make a post to let everyone know how proud and grateful I am.

This job isn’t easy. It takes early mornings, late nights, long miles, and sacrifice. But every day, these guys show up with commitment, pride, and integrity. They carry more than freight they carry the heart of this company.

I’m proud of what we’ve built together. The growth, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the strong team we’ve become none of it would be possible without the incredible people who choose to be part of this journey.

Thank you for believing in this company. Thank you for working hard, staying loyal, and pushing forward even when it’s tough. I’m grateful every single day and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
