But the truth is, blitz week is not just about one week out of the year. These things should be done every single trip, every single night, no matter how big or small the run is.
A safe truck matters.
The correct amount of hours between trips matters.
Doing proper pre-trips matters.
Not just for compliance — but for your safety and everyone else around you on the road.

• Watch following distance and speed
• Double check lights, airlines, tires, and registration
• Make sure logs are accurate and transferable
• Keep the cab clean and organized
• Physically verify trailer and dock doors before pulling away
• If something feels wrong with the truck, say something immediately

Reminder: CVSA International Roadcheck (DOT Blitz Week) runs May 12–14 across Wisconsin and all of North America. Expect increased inspections at weigh stations and roadside stops this week. ()
A few simple things can save a lot of headaches this week 👇
✔️ Do a REAL pre-trip — lights, tires, airlines, registration, everything
✔️ Make sure your logs are correct and up to date
✔️ Clean up the cab — loose paperwork and clutter matter more than people think
✔️ Watch your speed and following distance
✔️ Physically check trailer and dock doors before pulling away
✔️ Keep your safety vest handy
✔️ If something feels off with the truck, report it immediately — don’t risk it
