TRAVEL, WITH ROOTS.
I have known people who travel with a checklist—they see the sights and move on without ever really seeing or thinking about the place they visited. Brewed Abroad isn’t about chasing trends or collecting destinations. It’s about finding yourself through your exploration of the world, reflecting upon how history, land, food, and people shape the experience of travel.
Who am I? I am many things, all of which inform how I plan journeys. I honor family, the planet, my garden, and my daily cuppa.
• I am an experienced American road tripper, both as a solo woman and as a companion to a traveler with mobility needs—my 94-year-old mother, who still explores the world using a wheelchair and walker. Accessibility isn’t a theory for me; it’s lived experience.
• I have traveled extensively within the U.S. and beyond its borders, and I’m far from finished.
• I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Chicago Scots, reflecting a deep and ongoing exploration of my genealogy.
• I am a liberal environmentalist and passionate animal lover. Our planet is not just something to see—it’s something to protect. The animals are our fellow travelers on this rock.
• I am a Green Buddhist Witch: I cultivate plants, cook with them, make teas and tinctures, and I trust compassion, mindfulness, and intuition—grounded in daily life, not fantasy.
• I love coffee, tea, and the art of a well-researched itinerary.
I specialize in travel that is thoughtful, accessible, and historically & environmentally grounded. As America approaches its 250th anniversary, my work—and my own journeys—are centered on legacy. I ask myself:
• Where do we see the seeds of our democracy?
• Where did our founding fathers and mothers walk, think, argue, and imagine a new country?
• Where did my ancestors build lives that would one day lead to my own?
If you’re looking for travel that’s curated with care—not just booked—welcome. You’re exactly where you’re meant to be. And if all this resonates, I would love to plan something meaningful with you.
