This was the scene at the Dresser, Wisconsin depot this afternoon.

1200 happy, smiling passengers riding the Pumpkin Express, enjoying an afternoon in the country and attending the Pumpkin Patch at Railroad Park.

This was the scene at our Dresser Depot this afternoon. Hundreds of people riding our Pumpkin Express, enjoying a beautiful day in the country, and their children receiving pumpkins.

It just grew!

It all started when a group of trolley fans decided to save an old Twin Cities Lines trolley car, then saved other equipment from the railroads, old passenger coaches, baggage cars, a Railway Post Office, more street cars, overhauled the North Pacific #328 (the Stillwater Locomotive) and fired that up, acquired donated equipment from the Great Northern, and its descendent line, the Burlington Northern, saved the “Casey Jones” locomotive #2156 from being scrapped, took over the rail line to Stillwater, helped in salvaging and restoring the Lake Minnetonka Steamboat, even got into restoring and running old TCL transit buses. Today, the Minnesota Transportation Museum operates the “Princess Depot” in Minnehaha Park, runs city tours in a small fleet of Twin Cities Lines buses, operates the Osceola & St Croix Valley Railway & the Osceola & St Croix Dinner Train, and works with several other transportation oriented museums in the region to present the social and industrial history of Minnesota and the American Midwest. We present our regional history, while enjoying the ride, and we invite you to join us. All Aboard!
