The ShipShape Co. - boat cleaning and detailing of Lake Ozark and Osage Beach's

The ShipShape Co. - boat cleaning and detailing of Lake Ozark and Osage Beach's Providing unmatched exceptionally high quality boat cleaning from the 13-21mm’s of Lake of the Ozarks At The ShipShape Co.

Due to a shortage of applicants for my $20/hr job cleaning boats, going forward I will only be working from the 13mm to the 21mm. Are you tired of arriving to The Lake only to spend hours getting your boat ready for the weekend? Have you been disappointed by other boat "detailers" in the past? Brace yourself because you have found the business that you thought didn’t exist. A boat cleaning service

that will exceed your expectations; The Ship Shape Co. we do what we say, and it’s completed when we say it will be. The first time is extraordinarily thorough, we clean everything, everywhere. After that, we can usually take care of re-wash's in about a quarter of the time, since we already cleaned the bulk of the crud, now we just need to knock the loose stuff off. We'll also help with cleaning your dock surfaces, kitchen & BBQ area, dock closets and lockers, etc. We take care of the hassle of boating, so you can enjoy boating.

It is officially Boating Season! This afternoon I saw the “State Tech” banner being towed behind the airplane. Regretfully no picture, but if you have been to the lake then you have seen this aerial billboard.

No, it wasn’t me, but I do go to a couple of docks that area. The last few years since I have been working alone, the few times when I do actually get in the water for work I always wear a lifejacket.

A man working off a dock at the 14-mile marker of the lake escapes injury, or worse, after being swept out into the middle of the main channel on a pool raft while not wearing a life jacket. Sunris…

These pictures are from ~1988 of me washing my grandpas car in the basement of his building in Clayton. The Coke shirt I am wearing in the pictures is not the Coke shirt from the background. Coincidentally 20years ago when I first printed t-shirts for work I chose red with white lettering. I never connected the two before.

When this boat used to live in a cove near the toll bridge I would tell my nieces and nephews that it was “Batman’s lake house”. I haven’t seen it in years but this boat truly is a work of art! I recall hearing that the paint took 2,000hrs… I’d be scared to get it within 100’ of a dock! Hopefully it stays at the lake.

The lake was very active for a Tuesday and when I just looked outside (to make sure the sun was setting on time 😉🤣🤣🤦‍♀️) there were eight boats going by at once. Only one boat in the distance now, how quickly it changes.

Working at a condo today and there has been an ol’ man fishing at the other end of the dock since I arrived. As he walked by he said “you sure know what you’re doing!” After the shock of his statement wore off 😉🤣🤷‍♀️ I replied with a resounding “darn right!” I’m not sure if he was impressed by:
A) my ingenuity to hang clothing lines to dry huge boat covers
B)me knowing to use clips to secure covers to the lines even on a non-windy day
C) my experience to know that hanging boat covers in the sun will shrink them
D) my efficiently designed workboat
E) the fact that I have been doing this since 2004

The next time I come here I am bringing my rod! Usually it’s a line of single fish, not stacked up like that 😳🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

Sounds of the lake at 10:pm on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend:
1) The scream of a boat lift motor.
2) The hum of a boat motor and faint music (with indiscernible navigation lighting… but at least the stereo works)
3) A emrergency vehicle siren in the distance.
4) A conversation on a neighboring dock.
5) The Ka-kaw of a Blue Heron.
6) The sound of boat wakes hitting the breakwater.

edit: 10:06pm - a neighbor with a Cigarette 39 Top Gun just pulled in with rumbling exhaust and drowned out the other sounds.

And just like that ends and begins 🕷️🕸️🕷️🕸️🕷️🕷️🕷️

Todays commute was so short I had to wait until lunch break to make this post. And no this is not the closest boat on my routine wash calendar.
