Hey everyone, Capt Cupcake and Amanda here, coming to you from a very different lake. We decided to take a quick trip out to Estes Park, CO and catch a breath of fresh mountain air after a crazy and wonderful season, and we thought we would take a moment and just say THANK YOU!! To our great friends Steven and Jennifer L Benefield for building Breakaway to be a truly great boat rental business with such an amazing group of repeat customers- we've really enjoyed meeting and getting to know all of you!! And a HUGE SHOUTOUT and THANK YOU to all of the fantastic rental customers we had during the 2026 season!! You guys are awesome, you communicated well, you took great care of our boats, and you shared with us all of the ways we helped you have a wonderful time out on the Lake - for us, thats what it's all about!!

We may be in the off season now, but there are plenty of beautiful days still left in the year- give us a call if you're interested in getting out on the water! And if you already know your travel dates for next year, our 2027 calendar is open, let's get your boat reserved so you know its available 😉

We want to give a HUGE SHOUTOUT to Sigma Phi Epsilon Kansas Δ for really bringing it to the lake this weekend!! What a great group, having an absolute blast!! We sincerely appreciate that you all chose Lake of the Ozarks as your place to come together (and let loose)! Special thanks to William and Jackson for organizing the day on the lake with us!

We also want to say thank you to a few great businesses here - we couldn't have pulled off 13 captained boats without Aquatic Cowboy Dive Co and his Captains and Captain Bob's Boat Rentals & Charters and her Captains, and Skippin Work Boat Rentals and their Captains! What an amazing way to wind down the season!! 🤙

🍂 This time of year at Lake of the Ozarks just hits different. The water is calmer, the air feels better, the colors are starting to pop, and every boat ride feels like you’re sneaking in one last little piece of summer before fall fully takes over.

There are only a few days left to get out, soak in these views, and enjoy the kind of lake day that makes you say, "WOW"!

Grab your crew, pack the cooler, bring a sweatshirt just in case, and come see the lake in one of its prettiest seasons. The fall vibes are here, the views are unreal, and the calendar is not slowing down. 🍁🚤

Call 573-746-9090 to Book your Breakaway day before the season slips away!

We say this during every rental walkthrough that has a tube:

🚩 Ski flag UP = someone is IN the water.
🚩 Ski flag DOWN = everyone is back ON the tube or in the boat.

At Lake of the Ozarks, things can get busy fast, and other boaters need to know when someone is in the water near your boat. Whether you’re tubing, swimming, floating, or picking someone back up, that flag helps everyone around you stay aware and safe.

Use the flag ONLY when someone is actually in the water.
Put it down when they’re back on board. And pay attention to the boats around you!🛟🚤

🟧 Skier-Down Flags 🟧
This flag is to be displayed when the person is IN the water before or after being towed on water skis or similar devices.

“How fast will it go?” 🚤💨
It’s one of the first questions everybody asks… and yes, we get it. You’re at Lake of the Ozarks, the sun is out, the crew is ready, speed boats are flying by, and you want to know what your boat can do!

But here’s the thing: our boats are made for the best kind of lake adventures: cruising, coving out, floating, restaurant & bar hopping, making memories, and getting your people safely from one good time to the next. 😎🌊 And although we enjoy working with them, we certainly don't want to have to bring it to our friends at WFO Marine - Lake of the Ozarks, MO to get fixed!

They're:
🚤 Fast enough to have fun.
🚤 Comfortable enough for the whole crew, no matter your group type.
🚤 Reliable enough to make the day easy and fun.
🚤 And yes… still subject to boating rules, common sense, and whatever level of “captain confidence” your group is bringing to the dock. 😂
