One of my favorite Disney parent hacks: use the resort playground. 😂🙌

Especially on departure day.

One parent takes the kids to burn off some energy while the other gets to finish packing the room in PEACE.

Bonus points for a snack for the kids and a drink for yourself that you sip veeeeery slowly. 😂🍹

Remember my very important EPCOT “business trip”? 😂

Well… Florida had other plans. 🫠🔥

We didn’t get to nearly as much as we planned, but we ate some things, drank some things, bought some things and still had a fun little adventure.

Unfortunately, this means my Food & Wine market research is incomplete.

Obviously, the only responsible thing to do is go back. 🤷‍♀️😂

We’re checked in, we made it to EPCOT, and now 👑🐝 and I have some very important Food & Wine market research to conduct. 🍷🌐

It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it. 😂

So… I booked a Disney trip with less than 24 hours’ notice. 😂

👑🐝 and I are headed to EPCOT for the first weekend of Food & Wine, but I need everyone to understand this is NOT just an impulsive Disney decision.

This is a business trip. 📊

I have market research to conduct.

And by “market research,” I mean I need to determine whether the Frozen Waffle Old Fashioned is actually as ridiculous as it sounds. 🧇🥃😂

This is important work. Please respect my profession. 🫡😂

Give me the resort, a good dinner, a little resort hopping and then GO TO BED.

If EPCOT Food & Wine is part of your Disney trip this year, there are a few things worth knowing before you go. 🍷🌐

Especially this year, because some of the foods and experiences you’re seeing online don’t start until later in the festival. So before you get emotionally attached to a seafood pot pie like I did 😂, check those dates!

There are also some fun extras you might not know about, including Emile’s Fromage Montage and the Eat to the Beat Concert Series.

But my biggest advice is simple: don’t try to do everything.

Pick your must-tries. Share some dishes. Grab a Festival Passport. Take your time. And wear comfortable shoes because you are, quite literally, about to eat your way around the world. 😂🍴🌎

Would I take kids to EPCOT Food & Wine? Absolutely. 🐀🍴

Would I make them spend eight hours following me around World Showcase while I stop at every festival booth? Probably not. 😂

That’s the key.

Make Remy’s Hide & Squeak part of the day. Let them choose some fun festival treats. Ride Remy, Frozen Ever After and whatever else they love. Take breaks. Then mix in the things Mom and Dad want to experience too.

Food & Wine can be a really fun family EPCOT day when you don’t treat it like an adults-only festival that the kids just happen to be attending.

A little food, a little scavenger hunt, a few rides, something for Mom and Dad… everybody gets a vacation. 💜

Well, I went through the EPCOT Food & Wine menus to figure out what I’d want to try this year.

That list got out of hand QUICKLY. 😂

Seafood pot pie? Yes. Red wine-braised short ribs? Absolutely. Tartiflette with a wine flight? Obviously. A Gulf Coast seafood roll? Yep. And when I got to France, I basically just decided I’d take one of everything. 😂🇫🇷

Then there’s a frozen waffle Old Fashioned, which is a frozen bourbon cocktail topped with an actual waffle, so clearly we have to discuss that too.

And I already know 👑🐝 would be all over that Remy strawberry-cheesecake milk shake. 🍓

Good thing I’ll be walking around the world because I’m gonna need the steps with all this good food + drank. 😂🌎🍴🍹
