✨ Topolino’s Terrace Character Breakfast ✨

This week I’m featuring one of my favorite character dining experiences at Walt Disney World—Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort.

Why do I love it so much? Because you actually get to sit. down and relax.
✔️ It’s a table-service breakfast (not a buffet!)
✔️ You order straight from the menu
✔️ Your food is brought to you—no juggling plates or chasing kids
✔️ Characters visit your table while you stay seated and enjoy the moment

You’ll see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy, and they truly take their time with each family here. The interactions feel unhurried and personal, and the views from the terrace are absolutely stunning.

I haven’t done dinner here yet (no characters at night), but I’ve only heard rave reviews about the food, so I’m confident it won’t disappoint either.

Everyone talks about the height requirements at Universal, but these attractions don't have one.

Would I recommend Universal over Disney for most toddlers? Probably not.

But the idea that there's "nothing" for little kids to do at Universal just isn't true.

And if you're traveling with kids of different ages, Universal's Child Swap program makes it much easier for everyone to experience the attractions they want to ride.

Child Swap vs Rider Switch — both let parents take turns on rides when kids can’t ride. But they work differently.

Universal’s Child Swap has the whole family wait together before switching, but some queues can be loud, dark, or intense. If your child has sensory needs, Disney’s Rider Switch may be a better choice since the waiting adult can skip the queue.

Wherever you go, bring a baby carrier. Lines are easier when your arms are free and your child is comfortable.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been over six months since we started WNY Travel Huddle: Local Trips, Theme Parks, & Cruise Vacations , and this little travel community has grown so much!

What started as a place for local families and travelers to swap ideas is turning into exactly what I hoped for — a space to share tips, ask questions, dream about trips, and connect with other travel-loving Western New Yorkers.

We chat Disney, Universal, cruises, all-inclusive vacations, local getaways, road trips, and all the fun in between.

We’re hoping to reach 1,000 members this month, and I’d love to invite more travel lovers to join us. It's a different space than it is here because it's more interactive!
