🚌 Easy transportation. Disney Cruise Line transportation makes getting from your Resort to Port Canaveral simple, especially with a family of six. No rental car, parking, or coordinating multiple transfers.

Came across baby 21-year-old Mel on her second Disney trip… but technically my first REAL Disney trip. 😂

This was the summer before my senior year of college. I was waitressing full-time, going to school full-time, and saving all of my summer tips to take my college boyfriend and myself to Disney.

We drove my very old Saturn from upstate NY to Orlando in one shot, stayed at a $25/night Days Inn in Kissimmee, hit all four parks + Downtown Disney, and I’m pretty sure this picture with creepy Lego Guy, was taken with a disposable camera. 😆

We also had PAPER FASTPASSES. The free kind. You walked up to a machine, got a little piece of paper with your return time, and that was your Disney planning strategy. No app. No refreshing.

Should I have been saving that money to pay off my student loans? Absolutely (and I eventually did)!

Do I regret spending it on Disney instead? Not one bit.

I was working hard, going to school, and trying to be responsible. But I also needed a break. And looking back, I think that trip taught me something I still believe: sometimes the things that aren’t technically “responsible” are the things that give you the energy to keep going.

Because you can still have bills, work, laundry and a million things waiting for you when you get home… but for a few days, you get to walk down Main Street, hear the music, smell the popcorn and feel like a kid again. 🥰

21-year-old Mel didn’t know it then, but she was pretty good at making memories through shared experiences . ✨ 💖

✨ JUST BOOKED: Disney Premier Access Ultimate for Disneyland Paris! 🇫🇷🏰 Very different than WDW Lighting Lanes 😳

So what is it? Premier Access Ultimate gives you faster-queue access once at each eligible attraction, with no assigned return times…a great way to maximize your park time and experience more with less time waiting. 🎢

And this is one of those little details where having a travel advisor can really help. If you’ve ever tried calling Disneyland Paris, you know the phone wait times aren’t exactly magical. 😂

I’ll also be honest: DLP isn’t something I book as frequently as some of my other Disney destinations, and I’m grateful for patient clients who learn alongside me. I’m always researching, learning and keeping up with Disney’s ever-changing policies, rules and logistics so I can give my clients the best guidance possible.🙌🏼

That’s the value of a travel advisor: you don’t have to figure it all out alone. ❤️

When a dear friend texts you on a Sunday and says…

“We have ONE day off from horse shows (which literally NEVER happens)… we need to go to Harry Potter World tomorrow!” ⚡️🪄

My first response?

“Well… Harry Potter World isn’t actually a thing… but it also kind of is.” 😂 IYKYK

The Wizarding World actually spans three Universal parks, but with only one day, I recommended focusing on the original two; Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida.

Why? Because that’s where you’ll find the heart of the Harry Potter experience:

🏰 Hogwarts Castle
🧙 Hogsmeade
🐉 Diagon Alley
💰 Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts
🚂 The Hogwarts Express (ride it both directions!)

We skipped Epic Universe this time because I wanted them to really experience the original Wizarding World instead of spending the day rushing between three parks. Sometimes doing less lets you experience more. 💙

To be completely transparent, I can’t always make a last-minute booking like this happen. Sometimes I’m traveling, with clients, or simply away from my computer. This one just happened to work out because it was a complete washout here in St. Pete today, so I was actually thrilled to be cozy at my computer when that text came through. ☔️💻

A little while later…

✨ Just Booked! ✨

I’m so excited for one of my clients who is officially booked on Viking’s Into the Midnight Sun voyage! This itinerary explores Scotland, the Shetland and Orkney Islands, and Norway’s spectacular coastline…including the chance to experience the Midnight Sun, when the sun barely dips below the horizon.

If you’ve been curious about Viking, here’s what makes it different. Their ocean ships are smaller than the mega ships, with no casinos, water parks, or Broadway-style productions. Instead, the focus is on the destination, cultural enrichment, regional cuisine, and longer stays in port.

That also means Viking isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. If your ideal cruise includes lots of nightlife, waterslides, endless entertainment, or activities geared toward children and families, you’ll probably be happier on another cruise line.

But if you’re looking for a relaxed, adults-only experience where the itinerary is the star of the show, Viking is definitely worth considering.🥂
