⚓ Practice makes perfect—especially when it comes to docking! 🛥️💨
Check out this snippet of our trainee absolutely nailing the approach and bringing her home like a pro. Mastering the approach, the throttle, and the wind takes time, but that’s exactly what we’re here for at cflboating.org.
Whether you’re a total beginner or just looking to shake off the dock anxiety, our hands-on training gets you confident behind the wheel.
💡 Pro-Tip for the day: Always approach the dock at the slowest possible speed where you can still maintain steerage. As the old saying goes: Never approach a dock faster than you’re willing to hit it! 😉

Successful and comprehensive training today! Jet boats require specific skills that are different from maneuvering an outboard or stern drive vessel. The better skilled you become at safe maneuvering, the more you and your family will enjoy boating. Oh, and by the way, some things we saw today while at the ramp was a person approaching the dock with engine off and using his arms as paddles. Also, a boat was left blocking 1 of 2 dock spaces while he went to the store for 2-stroke oil! Get some training today! 😃

Captain Mike was out doing some follow up training with a new boater this morning and was able to assist 2 boats in need of towing. One boat needed help getting off the shore with a little tug (came in hot on the beach) and the other needed a tow to shore (engine would not start). It was some good training experiences for the new boater!

As a used boat broker, Captain Mike just finished up a pre-sale mechanical and safety inspection on this skiff. Happy buyer and happy seller. Always make sure your equipment is operating as it should. Wear your life jacket and have all safety equipment on board. Thanks to .marine.services for giving the boat a detailed inspection.
