Runway 7/25 closed continuously from *5pm* on 5/15 thru 5/18 (at *8am*) (Runway 13/31 available)* This extended closure time is to give the contractor enough time to complete the phase of paving, as it is a larger area then previous phases.

Runway 7/25 closed overnight daily 9pm to 6am - 5/18 thru 5/22 (at 6am) (Runway 13/31 available)

Week of 5/25 (No closure Sunday night due to Memorial Day)
ORL CLOSED to fixed wing aircraft daily overnight - 9pm to 6am 5/25 thru 5/29 (at 6am)

Our runway is out here looking like a loading screen. Our full airport closure last weekend was successful resulting with paving of the intersection of Runway 7/25 with 13/31 and Taxiway E.

Overnight electrical work will continue with overnight closures of Runway 7/25 the next two weeks leading to our 5th and final weekend closure to pave the remaining sections of the runway.
Please note the time changes to the weekend closure noted below. Please see below for our two‑week look‑ahead schedule.

Week of 5/3
-Runway 7/25 closed overnight daily 9pm to 6am - 5/3 thru 5/8 (at 6am) (Runway 13/31 available)

Week of 5/10
-Runway 7/25 closed overnight daily 9pm to 6am - 5/10 thru 5/15 (at 6am) (Runway 13/31 available)

Weekend of 5/15
-Runway 7/25 closed continuously from *5pm* on 5/15 thru 5/18 (at *8am*) (Runway 13/31 available)* This extended closure time is to give the contractor enough time to complete the phase of paving, as it is a larger area then previous phases.

*Per ORL ATCT, Due to operational logistics and coordination for IFR departures and arrivals on Runway 13/31, pattern work on Runway 13/31 will be unavailable during these closures.

Our Runway 7/25 Project continues with great progress. Our next weekend closure is this weekend beginning at 8pm Friday. For this preplanned closure, the entire airport will be closed to fixed wing traffic in order to pave the intersection of both runways. Please see below for important notes & closure dates and times.

Weekend of 4/24 - ORL CLOSED to fixed wing aircraft continuously from 8pm on 4/24 thru 4/27 (at 6am)

Week of 4/27- ORL CLOSED to fixed wing aircraft daily overnight - *8pm* to 6am 4/27 thru 5/1 (at 6am)

Runway 13/31 Closed Daily 6am-8pm - Available for taxi operations between Taxiway A and Taxiway E5

Week of 5/3 - Runway 7/25 closed overnight daily 9pm to 6am - 5/3 thru 5/8 (at 6am) (Runway 13/31 available)

Upcoming: The anticipated final weekend closure of Runway 7/25 is scheduled for 5/15 at 8pm thru 5/18 at 6am (Runway 13/31 available)

Throwing it back to an incredible morning at the Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) runway! ✈️👟 Big thanks to all the runners, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who made the ORL 5K On The Runway unforgettable with a record turnout with more than 1,000 attendees. Can’t wait to see you all again next year!

What a run-derful morning at the ORL 5K On The Runway! The Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) runway was cleared for takeoff as enthusiastic runners touched down for an amazing race. ✈️👟 A huge thank you to all the participants, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this event possible.

🌱 Sustainability is taking root at ORL: As part of the Runway 7/25 Rehabilitation Project, we've installed a pilot area of Florida Friendly Sunshine Mimosa along the runway safety area. After testing and guidance from the FAA and UF/IFAS, Sunshine Mimosa was selected for its drought tolerance, low maintenance needs, and minimal wildlife attraction. By transitioning portions of the airfield to this resilient native groundcover, we’re also lowering emissions, and supporting a healthier landscape. A special thank you to the City of Orlando for coordinating this GreenUp event, and to the City staff and volunteers from Spirit Airlines, JetBlue, and Southwest Airlines who came out to support the planting effort - your involvement is shaping a greener, more resilient airfield for the future.

Weekend of 4/3
No Runway 7/25 closures scheduled, however, the ORL 5K on the runway is on Saturday 4/4 there will be closures of runway 13/31 and taxiways affecting access to/from FBOs from approximately 7am-930am. Please check NOTAMs for final details and closure information.
