Honestly, where else can you spend your weekend at a concert in Zootopia and consider it a completely normal night out?

Living in Orlando means the plans are always a little magical, a little ridiculous, and somehow exactly where I want to be. 🥹✨

And yes, Gazelle absolutely put on a SHOW. 💃

Breaking my own heart this morning because realizing it’s almost been a year without Bagheera feels impossible. 🖤

A year sounds like such a long time. Long enough that you think the grief should feel smaller, the memories a little less painful, the missing them a little less constant.

But one thing I’ve learned this year is that grief doesn’t follow a timeline—and pet grief is so much bigger than people sometimes give it credit for.

I miss my buddy.

I miss him following me from room to room.
I miss him jumping on my desk to “help” me work.
I miss him begging for Charlotte’s ham at supper.
I miss him curling up with me at night.
I even miss all the tiny things that used to annoy me, because I’d give anything to have them back.

Almost a year later, I still catch myself missing him in the ordinary moments.

So if you’ve ever loved a pet this much and you’re still grieving them months—or even years—later, I see you. 🖤

There’s no expiration date on missing someone who was part of your family.

In case you needed the reminder: 8 is still little. 🥹

Eight still gets completely lost in playing with toys.
Eight still creates little worlds and stories.
Eight still has that childhood magic that I know won’t last forever.

Sometimes I think we hear an age like 8 and suddenly it sounds so big. And yes, she’s growing and changing and becoming more independent every day—but I never want to rush her out of the things that still bring her joy just because the world thinks she should be “too old” for them.

So here’s your sign not to pack up the toys too quickly. Let them play. Let them imagine. Let them be little for as long as they want to be. 🤍

Because childhood is already short enough without us rushing it along.

Call us old-fashioned, but thank-you notes are still happening in this house. 💌

Every gift represents someone who took the time to celebrate Charlotte, and we want her to know that gratitude is worth expressing. A handwritten thank-you note may seem old-fashioned, but we think it’s a tradition that’s still worth passing on.

In a world of quick texts and instant messages, there’s something special about slowing down, putting pen to paper, and letting someone know they made your day a little brighter.
