Everyone tells you to put your luggage outside your stateroom the last night of your Disney Cruise… but we don’t. 👀

There are TWO ways to handle your luggage on disembarkation morning:

✨ **Option 1:** Put your tagged luggage outside your stateroom the night before. Disney takes it off the ship for you, and you collect it in the terminal the next morning.

✨ **Option 2:** Keep your luggage with you overnight and carry/roll everything off the ship yourself in the morning.

We choose option 2 EVERY time.

I don’t want to spend our last day onboard worrying about packing everything up or accidentally putting something in a suitcase that we’ll need that night or the next morning.

Instead, we enjoy every last minute of the ship, head back to our room at the end of the day, and I pack as much as I can before bed.

Then in the morning? We grab our bags and GO. 🙌🏼

Everything is already in our possession, we don’t have to find our luggage in the terminal, and we love the flexibility of being able to walk off when we’re ready.

Is carrying all of your own luggage for everyone? Definitely not. But for our family, the convenience is 100% worth it.

Which method does your family prefer: **hand it over or roll it off yourself?**

Save this for your next Disney Cruise! ✨

NYC with kids… here’s what was actually worth it 👀🗽🍎

We packed A LOT into our long weekend celebrating my daughter’s 9th birthday, and while some things were an easy 5/5… others we could skip next time. 😂

From Broadway and afternoon tea to Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, American Girl and everything in between, I’m rating it ALL!

Save this for your next NYC trip with kids! ✨

And if you’re planning a trip and need help putting it all together, I’m happy to help! Send me a DM to get started planning!

I’ve been looking through Disney Cruise Line’s 2027–2028 itineraries… and there are some GOOD ones. 👀🛳️
Here are 5 new itineraries that immediately caught my eye.

What I love most about these is that they give you the chance to see more unique destinations while still getting all the magic, convenience and family-friendly experience of a Disney cruise. No unpacking at every stop, no changing hotels with the kids, and plenty of time to enjoy the ship in between adventures. 🙌🏼

And yes… I’m already trying to decide which one I’m going to try to convince my husband we need to book. 😂

Which itinerary would you choose?! 👇🏼

If you’re dreaming about a Disney cruise for 2027 or 2028, I’d love to help you find the itinerary that’s the best fit for your family.

Many parents assume that if a ride doesn’t have a height requirement, it’s perfect for every child... but that’s not always true! 😅

Some attractions are dark, loud, have surprising effects, or feature villains that can be overwhelming for younger or more sensitive kids.

Magic Kingdom
• Haunted Mansion (dark, ghosts, spooky)
• Pirates of the Caribbean (small drop, dark, cannon fire)
• Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (dark, loud)
• Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid (Ursula scene)
• Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (short scary scene)

EPCOT
• Spaceship Earth (dark, backward descent)
• Journey Into Imagination with Figment (dark, loud, skunk smell)
• Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros (dark)
• The Seas with Nemo & Friends (dark)
• Frozen Ever After (dark, small backwards drop)

Animal Kingdom
• Na’vi River Journey (dark, giant animatronic)

Hollywood Studios
• Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway (dark, loud)

✨ Save this post so you know what to expect before you hop in line!
Every child is different—some toddlers will love these attractions, while others may want to skip them until they’re a little older.

If meeting characters is high on your family's priority list, here's everything you need to know before your Disney vacation:

1. Traditional Character Meet & Greets
This is what most people think of when they picture meeting Disney characters! You'll wait in a designated queue, spend a few minutes talking with the character, take photos, and (for most characters) get an autograph.
A big thing to know: character meet-and-greets are separate from Lightning Lane. You’ll want to check the My Disney Experience app for current locations, wait times, and appearance schedules so you can plan your day around the characters your family wants to meet.

2. Character Dining
This is hands-down one of my favorite ways to meet characters! Instead of spending your park day waiting in multiple character lines, the characters come right to your table while you enjoy your meal. Many character dining experiences allow you to meet several characters in one experience, making it a great way to maximize your time.

3. Roaming Characters
Not every character has a traditional meet-and-greet location! Disney also has characters who make appearances throughout the parks. Some may stop for quick interactions or photos, while others wave, dance, or interact with guests as they pass by. These unexpected moments can end up being some of the most magical memories!

4. Parades & Stage Shows
If you want to see lots of your favorite characters without spending time waiting in lines, this is a great option.
You’ll see tons of characters all at once, but keep in mind these are viewing experiences and you won’t be able to stop for individual photos or autographs.

📱 My Favorite Tip: Use the My Disney Experience app!
Open the app, tap the map at the bottom of the screen, then change the dropdown from "Wait Times" to "Characters." You’ll instantly see which characters are currently meeting in that park, their locations, and appearance times. Looking for a specific character? Tap the search icon and type in their name!

A few more tips:
✨ Character locations and times can change daily, so always double-check the app before walking across the park.
✨ Bring an autograph book to hold all these fun signatures!
✨ The most popular characters often have shorter waits first thing in the morning or later in the evening.
✨ If meeting characters is a priority for your family, I recommend highly recommend character dining experiences!

💾 Save this for your next Disney vacation, you’ll thank yourself later!

Taking multiple kids to Disney? These are the things I want every parent to know before they go:

When you have kids of different ages, heights, and interests, a little extra planning can make your park days so much smoother!

**Kids 7+ can ride alone**
Disney allows children ages 7 and older to ride attractions by themselves if they feel comfortable. This can be a huge help when the party number is odd and the ride vehicle doesn’t accommodate your whole party in one row. This was fun for our daughter because she got to ride some rides alone with friends!

**Kids under 7 need a rider who is 14+**
Children under 7 must be accompanied by someone who is at least 14 years old when riding attractions. Keep this in mind when planning who will ride with which child.

**Use Rider Switch**
Have a child who isn’t tall enough or doesn’t want to ride? Rider Switch allows one adult to wait with the non-rider while the rest of the group rides. Then the adults can switch without everyone waiting in line again.

**Check height requirements before your trip**
Knowing ahead of time which rides your kids can (and can’t) ride helps set expectations and avoids those “but why can’t I ride?” moments at the entrance.

Disney with multiple kids can be magical… but knowing these little details can make the experience so much easier.

Save this for your next Disney trip!
