It is with great sadness that the family of H.D. (Durwood) Edgar announce his passing, Sunday, March 9, 2025. Durwood will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Martha Petty Edgar, his children Melanie Edgar, Emily Edgar, Mindell Glisson, Macie Taylor, Angus Edgar and Garrett Smith eight grandchildren, and three great-granddaughter . He is also survived by sister Vivian Stewart of Opp and brother Butch Edgar of Edgewater, Fl.

The heartbeat of the H.D. Edgar Trucking Company will be forever cherished as will the memories and history he shared with our customers, friends and fellow workers. We ask that our customers and friends remember the good times he shared, the deals he made, the help he gave and the love of Christ he shared with everyone.

Remembrances can be made through contributions to the church of your choice.
