Big recognition for ONT Field! ⚾️✈️

ONT Field, home of the Ontario Tower Buzzers, has been named the 2026 BaseballParks.com Ballpark of the Year, recognizing the venue as one of the premier fan experiences in Minor League Baseball.

The aviation-themed ballpark brings Ontario’s connection to ONT to life in so many ways, from its baggage-claim-inspired food hall to an interactive runway and a vintage airplane that lights up after a Tower Buzzers home run.

“Being named Ballpark of the Year is an incredible honor for ONT Field and a tremendous point of pride for our region,” said Atif Elkadi, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority. “We’re proud to have the ONT name associated with that success.”

Congratulations to the City of Ontario, California - Government, the Ontario Tower Buzzers and everyone who helped bring this one-of-a-kind ballpark to life!

Four years of being a Great Place To Work! 💙✈️

The recognition is based on feedback directly from our employees. In the 2026 Great Place to Work Trust Index Survey, 93% of ONT employees said ONT is a great place to work, while employees rated the airport 86% positive overall across trust, pride and camaraderie.

The survey also found:

🫶 97% said new employees are made to feel welcome

🤝 96% said ONT provides a physically safe workplace

😎 95% described ONT as an enjoyable place to work

A major investment in a more sustainable ONT. 🌱✈️

Ontario International Airport has been awarded nearly $4.15 million from the Federal Aviation Administration through its Voluntary Airport Low Emissions (VALE) program. It is ONT’s largest-ever VALE grant and its third in three years.

The funding will cover 75% of a $5.53 million project to install electric ground support equipment charging infrastructure at Terminals 2 and 4. The project will support the growing use of electric-powered equipment by airlines and airport partners while reducing reliance on conventional fuel-powered equipment and associated emissions.

This latest investment builds on previous VALE-funded projects supporting ONT’s ground power unit and pre-conditioned air initiatives as we continue investing in cleaner, more efficient airport operations.

4 million passengers and counting! ✈️

ONT has welcomed more than 4 million travelers so far in 2026, with 4,085,992 passengers passing through from July, up 1.3% from the same period last year.

International travel continues to be a major growth driver, with international passenger volume up 36.9% year-to-date. Air cargo is also up 7%, reinforcing ONT’s role as a growing global supply chain hub.

“More than 4 million passengers have already traveled through ONT this year, and our international passenger volume is up nearly 37% at a time when international travel to the U.S. is facing significant headwinds...” said Atif Elkadi, CEO of the Ontario International Airport Authority.

More passengers, more connections and more reasons to fly local.📈

Nearly $5 billion in annual economic impact. ✈️📈

A new independent study by Oxford Economics found that ONT generated $4.8 billion in economic output in 2024, supporting 24,300 jobs and contributing $3 billion in value for the regional economy.

Since returning to local control in 2016, ONT's economic impact has grown more than 75%.

From more passengers to more jobs and expanded air service, ONT's growth is helping drive opportunity across Southern California.
