♟️ Thank You, Mahjong with Mary! ♟️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Mahjong with Mary as part of our March LEAD event! It was such a fun and energizing way to connect, learn something new, and build community together.

A special thank you to Mary for hosting and guiding us through the game—your patience, enthusiasm, and willingness to share made the experience enjoyable for both beginners and seasoned players alike.

Events like this truly reflect what LEAD is all about: creating meaningful connections, supporting one another, and making space for learning and growth—both personally and professionally.

We appreciate everyone who participated and helped make this event a success. Looking forward to more LEAD moments like this ahead!

This International Women's Day, LEAD is proud to support Access Period, a Nebraska nonprofit that provides free menstrual products to anyone who needs them — through schools, libraries, clinics, and over 70 community organizations across the state. Period poverty is a real barrier to showing up fully at work, at school and in life. Access Period's Period Party makes it simple to help: $10/month covers two people's periods. Join us in giving to gain this March 8th.

Methodist’s 3D Mobile Mammography is coming to UPC on August 12 and HDC on September 25, 2025!
Did you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? Early detection is critically important, and a screening mammogram can find breast cancer early, sometimes up to 10 years before it could be detected by your doctor. The mobile mammography center is a quick and private way for you to get your annual screening mammogram without disruption to your schedule, right on-site at UPC or HDC. Questions? Reach out to April Podraza, Rebecca Kalskett or Mary McClarnon, this year’s Komen More Than Pink Walk Chairs.

As Omaha prepared for the College World Series, Union Pacific’s Human Trafficking Awareness Committee formed by the women’s employee resource group LEAD partnered with the Set Me Free Project, FBI, the Attorney General’s office, Omaha Police Department and Mayor Elect John Ewing to raise awareness about human trafficking. Human trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes in the US.

“At Union Pacific, our strategy is to achieve growth through safety, service, and operational excellence. The topic of safety goes beyond the rail yard. For communities to thrive, all residents must feel safe. Union Pacific is committed to helping communities improve safety, especially where our employees live and work.” -Chelia Miller, Marketing & Sales
