Take a look at the difference more than a century can make. From an open cab, simple mechanical systems, and a 2-speed transmission to today’s powerful diesel engines, automated transmissions, sleeper cabs, advanced safety technology, and driver-assist systems — the evolution is incredible.

The trucks have changed. The technology has changed. The roads have changed.

But one thing hasn’t: **the need for dependable people behind the wheel keeping America moving.** 💙

🚛 Ever wonder where the semi-truck story began?

Long before today’s aerodynamic tractors, sleeper cabs, and 53-foot trailers, someone had to come up with the idea of connecting a powered vehicle to a trailer in the first place.

One of the earliest versions dates all the way back to 1899, when automobile maker Alexander Winton developed a hauler so he could deliver new cars to customers without putting miles on them. Then in 1914, Charles Fruehauf built a trailer for a customer who wanted to haul his boat behind a Model T — helping launch what would eventually become the modern semi-trailer industry.

More than a century later, those early ideas have grown into an industry that keeps groceries on shelves, factories supplied, businesses running, and America moving. 💙🚛

We love looking back at where trucking started — especially when you consider just how far the industry has come.

From the rugged, no-frills trucks of the early days to today’s aerodynamic sleepers packed with comfort, safety features, and technology, trucking has come a LONG way.

What hasn’t changed? The job still takes skill, dedication, and a driver willing to keep America moving. 💪🇺🇸

It’s pretty incredible to see how much horsepower, comfort, efficiency, and technology have evolved over the decades.
