LET ME RE INTRODUCE MYSELF ā¤ļø
Hi friends! If youāre new here, let me introduce myself! My name is Yvonne, but my family and friends call me Evo which is where Designs by Evo came from! š«¶š¼ One of my friends actually helped me come up with the name. I am a proud daughter of immigrants. Iām also the eldest of two girls. I was born in Texas but moved to Omaha when I was 4 years old.
About 3 years ago, I moved (no more evil neighbors or LANDLORD-woohoo š„³) and, naturally, decided I needed to decorate the entire house š. Instead of buying decorations, I started drawing my ownā¦ which eventually led to me painting in my free time. One thing turned into another, and somehow that little hobby became this hand-painted business!
These days, I love painting and wood burning designs on all sorts of things. I especially love florals, random nostalgic art like old cartoon characters and making propsā so if thatās your vibe too, welcome!!
A little more about me:
* I have a BIG family and weāre all really close, youāll probably see some of them helping me out (or hanging out) at my pop-ups!
* I have a turtle named Speedy and heās 18 years old. I also have a little 2 year old Yorkie named Mr. Wilson.
* I am an introvert who likes to travel!
* I LOVE to read. Likeā¦ A LOT. One of my favorite pastimes is meeting up with my bookclub!
* Iām always down for a good movie or TV show.
* My music rotation includes Bad Bunny, Karol G, cumbias, and everything in between.
* I also have another full-time job working with graduate students, and I genuinely love that job too!
I try to pop up mostly at the Omaha Farmers Market when thereās a spot available, along with a few holiday events throughout the year. But if you canāt catch me in person, my website is always open!
