This holiday season, Charlotte’s Golden Ribbon is wrapping gifts to raise awareness for childhood cancer and to honor the strength, bravery, and joy that Charlotte brings into this world every single day.

There are no words big enough for what today feels like. A year ago, our world shattered. We were told our daughter had Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, and that it had spread throughout her entire body — there wasn’t a single part of her that wasn’t affected. I remember asking the doctor what her chances were… he paused, looked at me, and said, “It’s not zero.”

And today… our daughter — our warrior — has beaten the impossible.

Cancer free.
After everything her little body has endured, she is cancer free. She will still begin immunotherapy, but today marks the moment we’ve prayed for every single day for the past year.

We are so incredibly blessed that this battle lasted only a year, because we know too well that so many families are still fighting. Our hearts are forever with every child and every parent on this same road.

And we want to say this clearly — the staff at OU Children’s Hospital is absolutely incredible. The nurses, the doctors, the specialists… the people who held our daughter’s hand, calmed our fears, answered every question, and treated Charlie with love like she was their own — we will never forget any of you. Your care, your kindness, and your strength carried us through the darkest days. We are forever thankful.

To our friends, our family, and every single person who wrapped us in love — thank you. Thank you for the prayers, the meals, the messages, the support, the strength you poured into our family when we were running on empty. We truly couldn’t have made it through this year without you.
