🎃🕸️ Happy Halloween! 🕸️🎃 As little ghouls and goblins get ready to trick-or-treat, here are some quick safety tips to keep the night both fun and safe:
1. Light it Up: Carry flashlights or wear glow sticks for visibility and stay in well-lit areas.
2. Stick Together: Kids should trick-or-treat in groups or with a trusted adult.
3. Costume Check: Make sure costumes are the right length to avoid trips and consider non-toxic face paint instead of masks for better visibility.
4. Stay on the Path: Only go to houses with their porch lights on and stay on sidewalks whenever possible.
5. Check the Treats: Wait until you’re home to inspect treats and toss anything unwrapped.
👻 Have a spooktacular night, everyone! Stay safe and enjoy the treats! 🍬🧛🧡

Winterizing your boat before storing it for the season is essential for preserving its condition and preventing costly repairs. Here’s a step-by-step guide to ensure proper winterization:

1. Clean the Boat
Exterior: Wash the boat thoroughly to remove dirt, grime, and salt residue. Pay special attention to the hull, deck, and any crevices.
Interior: Clean the interior, including cushions, lockers, and storage compartments. Remove any food or items that could attract pests.
Dry it out: Make sure the boat is completely dry before storage to prevent mold and mildew.

2. Drain and Flush the Engine
Flush the cooling system: Use fresh water to flush out the salt, dirt, and debris from the engine.
Drain water: Drain all water from the engine to prevent it from freezing and causing damage.
Add antifreeze: Pour non-toxic marine antifreeze into the cooling system to protect it from freezing temperatures.

3. Change the Engine Oil
Old oil contains contaminants that can corrode the engine during the off-season. After draining the oil, replace it with fresh oil. Don’t forget to replace the oil filter as well.

4. Stabilize the Fuel System
Fill the tank: Fill the fuel tank to prevent condensation.
Add stabilizer: Add a marine fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank to keep the fuel fresh and prevent gum and varnish buildup.
Run the engine: Run the engine for a few minutes to circulate the stabilized fuel through the system.

5. Take Care of the Battery
Remove the battery: Disconnect and remove the battery.
Store properly: Store it in a cool, dry place and keep it fully charged to prolong its life.

6. Protect the Water System
Drain water tanks: Drain all water from freshwater and waste systems, including tanks, pipes, and pumps.
Use antifreeze: Run non-toxic antifreeze through the system to prevent freezing and cracking.

7. Lubricate Moving Parts
Lubricate steering, control cables, and any other moving parts to prevent rust and stiffness during storage.

8. Cover the Boat
Use a well-fitted, breathable boat cover to protect it from dust, debris, and moisture. Ensure it is secured tightly to prevent damage from wind or snow.

9. Check the Trailer
Inspect the trailer for any signs of wear or damage. Make sure the tires are properly inflated, and the lights and brakes are working.
By following these steps, you’ll help ensure that your boat remains in great condition throughout the winter and is ready to go when spring arrives.

To determine the right size storage unit for your RV, you'll need to consider the dimensions of your RV as well as any additional space you might need for maneuvering or storing accessories. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

1. Measure Your RV
Length: Measure the total length from the front of the hitch to the rear bumper.
Height: Measure from the ground to the highest point, which could be the roof or any attached equipment like an AC unit or antenna.
Width: Measure the width, including any mirrors or side accessories.

2. Compare with Common Storage Unit Sizes
Enclosed Storage Units:
12x35 feet: Suitable for small RVs, pop-up campers, and some Class B motorhomes.
12x45 feet: Fits most Class C motorhomes and medium-sized RVs.
14x40 or 14x45 feet: Best for larger Class A motorhomes or trailers.
Outdoor Storage Units:
Covered or uncovered parking spaces: Often 12x40 feet or larger, these are more suitable for larger RVs if indoor space isn’t required.

3. Consider Additional Space Needs
Access and Maneuvering: Ensure there's enough space to easily park and remove your RV.
Storage for Accessories: If you plan to store additional items like bikes, grills, or camping gear, account for that space too.
Height Clearance: Double-check the height clearance of indoor units to ensure your RV will fit.

4. Review Access Requirements
Consider how often you’ll need to access your RV during the winter and whether the facility's hours and accessibility meet your needs.
By following these steps, you should be able to determine the appropriate size storage unit for your RV.
