Still trying to get this NE trip done. Heading back now, but won’t be back for a few more days. Then I have to decide how I can get my SE trip done in 3 days (not possible) miss a baby shower for my first grand child (not happening) or some other alternative.
But I wanted to get in here and say that once again, I’m gonna be heading SE soon and I think I only have 3 total pickups on that route. I have several deliveries coming from the NE, but nothing really to pickup from Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. So if you are in those states and need something transported somewhere, let me know. 405-600-5122.
Current pickups in SE:
Katy, Tx.
Sylvia, NC
Pine Bluff, Ar
Ft. Smith, Ar
That’s it so far.

I plan to cover the NE (east of I-35 and north of I-40) between March 12-27.
Immediately following that trip will be my SE trip probably March 29-April 7.
Where I go after that will depend on pickup demand. So text me your needs and I’ll see if I can make it happen. 405-600-5122

Well the rest of this year will be interesting.
I just had a $4100 job cancel on me. My next two routes were designed around that tasking. So unless I want to take a huge loss, I have to re-engineer the next month of service.
Originally, I was heading from OKC to Maine, then down to Florida, then back to OKC.
I took some small jobs down to Florida based on that task helping with the expenses and on that time table. Now I have to figure out how this impacts everything else.
Nobody panic about their booked shipments. I still intend on keeping my obligations as close to original plan as possible. I just wanted to vent about cancellations and how they impact all the other customers I have.

I’ve been struggling all year with this decision, but I think my service area is gonna have to change. The SE and West coast are killing me financially. So I think beginning January 1, 2026 I’ll be concentrating all of my efforts on the NE. I’ll start going from OKC to Maine every month and throw in an occasional SE trip to Florida. So everyone might think about changing their Nationwide shipping offers unless you want to use uship or other carriers who do service the west coast.

I do have a couple customers in Seattle, one in Montana, a couple in Arizona and one in Utah that I’d like to try and help out still. So if they have enough shipping demand to facilitate a west coast trip or maybe a modified west coast trip, then it is possible that I could try to put some deliveries together AFTER I get pickups. But I don’t foresee me booking much in 2026 for delivery to the west.

I just wanted to give everyone fair warning before it starts. I’m headed west this month to finish up some deliveries, and if I need to make another trip there this year, I might. But probably once every 6 months after the new year.

What I will cover:
Texas
Oklahoma
Kansas
Half of Colorado
Everything East of the Missouri River.

Just a little route timing update. I’m in NC currently. Heading north to Maine, then back west to Arkansas and up North to Minnesota before heading home. I hope to have it all done by March 10th and then leave to head west March 15th.
Hopefully, I can complete the entire west coast by about April 7th and use the rest of April to cover the NE again. Then back SE early May.

I do need to run through mid Texas (Dallas, Austin, Houston) before heading out on my west coast trip, but that should only consume a couple days.

A little bit of good news. My Promaster truck is finally getting a new transmission. So hoping to have it back by the end of the month and then my friend or someone else can give me a hand and make the shipping times quicker. Or give me a little bit of downtime with the family.

Is FB broke?
Everytime I look at my professional dashboard, it says I need to recognize my top fans and shows who needs recognized ‘Kim Thompson’. But I made that post last week and thought I had recognized her even previous to that. Is this a glitch or something? Anyone else have that issue previously?

Updated travel plans:
Finishing up my NE route, but I’ll be headed right back to the NE.
I currently plan to head from Oklahoma to Florida starting Feb 20th. I only have 1 pickup in the entire SE route. So I’ll be driving north from Florida all the way to Maine, then all the way back to Oklahoma via Wisconsin (maybe Minnesota if there is demand). The whole trip should take 2-3 weeks. I’ll be heading west in March and looking for a lot more work from the west.

Winter Storm Freya!!
It hits tonight from Chicago to Boston. I’m picking up in Connecticut later this evening. Then I’ll likely hunker down somewhere around Philly. Hopefully I can make it through Pittsburgh tomorrow and pickup through Ohio and Indiana Friday. Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska Saturday and Missouri and home Sunday. 🤞🏻
Weather Pending……
