Utah Transit Authority - UTA is testing the new OGX clean air electric buses around the Weber State University campus in preparation for the Wildcat Shuttle opening on August 29th. While bus testing is underway between the Dee Events Center and Browning Center, please be advised that new traffic signals are operational at Country Hills Dr. and Village Dr. Please exercise caution and note that the busway is for buses only and is not open for public access.

OGX Behind-the-Barrels: January 2022 Update
Road reconstruction is underway on 25th Street for the future OGX bus rapid transit line. To accommodate the work, 25th Street is closed to through traffic and on-street parking between Washington Blvd. and Jefferson Ave. These closures will remain in effect through late spring 2022.
Businesses in the area are open and accessible. Alternate parking is still available at The Monarch parking lot and on side-streets on Washington Blvd., Ogden Ave., Jefferson Ave. and Adams Ave. Watch for wayfinding signs to help direct you to these areas. Sidewalk access is also being maintained while construction is underway, although detours are possible.

OGX Behind the Barrels: October 2021 Update
Reconstruction activities are underway on Harrison Blvd. for the addition of dedicated bus lanes for OGX. The road will be widened between 31st Street and the Weber State University campus to accommodate center-running BRT lanes and OGX stations at 32nd and 36th streets. To minimize traffic impacts, the road will be reconstructed in three phases, beginning with southbound lanes, followed by northbound and finally the center lanes.
Preliminary utility relocations and retaining wall construction are underway on southbound Harrison Blvd. and traffic has been shifted to the east side of the road in work zones. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction most of the time during daytime hours. Business accesses remain open and accessible. Construction is expected to continue through summer 2023.

OGDEN/WSU BRT BEHIND THE BARRELS CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Fall semester is in full swing on the Weber State University campus and elements of the new BRT system are beginning to take shape! Crews worked through the summer to complete the new dedicated busway on central campus between Lindquist Plaza and the Kimball Arts Center. BRT station platforms are progressing on central campus and at the Dee Events Center.
This fall, busway construction will continue southward to student housing and across Country Hills Drive to the Dee Events Center. Construction will continue on campus through summer 2022 and the new WSU campus shuttle system is expected to be operational by fall semester 2022, with stops at the Dee Events Center, student housing and central campus.
By fall 2023, the entire BRT route is expected to open to riders, providing a connection on clean air electric buses between Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital, WSU and downtown Ogden and the FrontRunner station.

BRT Behind the Barrels: June 2021 Update
OGDEN/WSU BRT BEHIND THE BARRELS CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: The first of the Ogden/WSU BRT stations are currently under construction on Washington Blvd. between 24th and 25th streets. This week, crews will pave southbound lanes and traffic will be shifted to the outside lanes for the final phase of reconstruction in the center of Washington Blvd. Two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction. Pedestrian access is maintained in the work zone and businesses remain open and accessible.
When operational in fall 2023, BRT will provide riders a new way to travel between downtown Ogden, the Weber State University campus and Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital. Riders will be able to catch a ride on a clean air electric bus every 10-15 minutes on weekdays at 13 stations along the BRT route.
