REMINDER: A public open house meeting to discuss the continued progress of the Master Plan for Bob Maxwell Memorial Airfield Airport (Oceanside Municipal) will be held this coming Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Civic Center Community Rooms located at 330 N. Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA 92054. The meeting is open to all community members and will provide information about the ongoing Master Plan study for Bob Maxwell Memorial Airfield Airport in the City of Oceanside.

No RSVP is necessary but we truly hope you will be able to attend this meeting and provide your valuable input and ideas!! Also, please feel share this meeting notice with any pilots or community members that you believe might be interested in attending this meeting.

As of October 15, 2013, six new box hangars are available for rent. The hangars feature bifold electric doors, direct access to the runway, and range in size from 1,600 sq.ft. to 1,850 sq.ft. Please call the main airport office at 760-901-4260 for rates and details.

The Oceanside Airport Association (OAA) is holding their Annual Classic Car and Aircraft Show on Saturday, September 14, 2013. This fun community event begins at Noon and will feature classic cars, radio-controlled aircraft, food, music, and of course, plenty of planes!!

Happy Birthday, Amelia Earhart!! She would have been 115 years old today. Google marked the aviator's birthday with a Doodle on Google's front page. It shows Earhart climbing a Lockheed Vega 5B monoplane as her yellow scarf flutters in the wind.
