Whew! Hello! I have been serving so many of you today…. and I have loved every single second of it.

Happy weekend, Memory Makers!! 💜 Today has been filled to the brim with my Travel Guests.☺️ I built proposals…. I loved talking to a few of you on the phone (some of you are new to the world of Bethany Grace Travels and some of you are returning for the umpteenth time, trusting me with your favorite memories AGAIN…I am just always so honored!

I was 16 years old, sitting in Spanish class at Mainland Regional.

Someone came into our classroom and whispered something to my teacher. She turned on the TV so we could all watch the breaking newscast. And right as she did, we watched the second plane crash into the tower.

My heart felt like it dropped straight to the floor.

Then the announcer said the first plane had been an American Airlines flight, and I felt physically ill. My dad was an American Airlines pilot. He was on a flight that day. Somewhere in the sky. And I was sitting in a classroom in South Jersey with absolutely no way to know.

Some of the students around me were freshmen, and they were laughing at what was on the screen. They didn't understand what they were watching. I'm not sure any of us fully did in those first minutes.

I asked my teacher if I could go to the office and call my mom.

He was OK. My dad was OK.

Years later, I've made the Flight 93 Memorial in Pennsylvania part of a couple of our road trips. The last time, I brought my husband and my children. There is a wall of phones there where you can listen to the messages passengers and crew left for the people they loved before that plane went down.

I sobbed….and I’m sobbing again just writing this.

My dad was OK. And I have been beyond thankful for that for 25 years while also never quite understanding why I got to be the one who was OK. Somebody else's daughter called her mom that morning too. Why did it have to be their dad?

This day was so much more than a day. Or maybe I should say so much less. It was loss. It was heartbreak that a whole country felt at the exact same moment. It is so completely etched into every single one of us.

Today we remember those who died. Those who helped. Those who prayed. Those who mourned, and those who are still mourning right now. We were all a part of this in one way or another.

I will never forget. 🤍

Ok, let’s break this down for a sec…. this is important: “up to” and “select” are carrying enormous weight in that language. The best savings tend to land on specific resort categories on specific nights, and a package offer versus a room-only offer can produce completely different totals for the exact same family. Pricing them side by side against your dates, your party size, and your resort is what I do! Let me take this for you.

And while I am running those numbers, I am also thinking about room location, transportation, quiet spaces, dining that works for your eaters, mobility, and pacing for the grandparents coming along. If you booked a Disney cruise within the last few weeks, there's one thing you can still do......

You can put that booking in the hands of a specialist. Mine. 💜

You keep the exact cruise you booked, at the exact price you booked it. Nothing about your reservation changes. I just take it from there. And Disney Cruise Line is what I do...... it's where I've put so much of my training, my Disney specialist work, and SO much of my brain for years now.

Yes, today was a super big day. I was booking cruises this morning, and I was watching rooms and calling and celebrating with my travel guests!
…And the whole time, I kept thinking about everybody else out there who booked alone and is now just...... sitting with a confirmation number and a lot of questions. That part is so much bigger than it seems! Nobody should have to figure out the biggest trip of their year by themselves.

The grandparents who grabbed three staterooms in a row so the whole family could open their verandahs and be together...... not knowing that some of those dividers don't open at all. They won't find out until they're standing out there waving through a wall. And that gets to me, because it's so fixable right now and they have no idea.

📢THIS IS IT!!!! Tomorrow morning, everybody books at the same time.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8, the new Disney Cruise Line sail dates for fall 2027 and spring 2028 open to the general public. That means many of you, all at once. If you are Castaway Club and your early window came and went without you locking anything in, tomorrow can be your day! If you have never sailed Disney before and you have been watching everyone else post about it, tomorrow is your day just the same. Nobody is behind here.

My daughter doesn’t remember this breakfast.

She was so little. Her brothers remember all of it, but she has no idea she was ever at that table at that age. And people say that like it settles something. Why spend the money when the little one won’t even remember it.

But would you skip reading a book to your child because someday she’ll forget the story? No. Absolutely not.

Because that’s not why we read to them. Little brains build themselves out of what happens to them, and the back and forth of a story, the voice and the closeness and the safety, is doing quiet work whether or not she can recall it later. Researchers call the early years the window when the brain builds its architecture. She doesn’t have to remember the book for the book to have shaped her.💜

So we took the trips anyway. And I’m so beyond thankful we did. She doesn’t carry that day…… but I do. I have the photos and I hold those memories so close to my heart. 💜

Group 1️⃣: If you have sailed Disney before…… Castaway Club, DVC, Golden Oak…… your booking window for the new fall 2027 and spring 2028 itineraries is already open. Right now. Today.

Group 2️⃣: If this would be your first Disney sailing, then Tuesday, September 8 is your day.

Either way, this weekend is our time to work together on this. 💜 If you aren’t sure whether a Disney cruise fits your family… let’s talk about that, too! 💜

The itinerary I cannot stop talking about is the Disney Wish sailing from New York City. 🗽 For my fellow Northeast families that changes everything. You drive. You park. You walk on. No flights, no gate checks, no early morning security line.

The most underrated sensory-friendly feature on a Disney cruise is a room service menu and a closed door.🙌

Cookies, milk, Mickey bars, fries. Little Mermaid on a loop on the stateroom TV. 🥹 No upcharge for that order. No deciding whether it’s worth it. One less thing to think about. AND it comes to your door at almost any hour. 🍪

On land, when the day gets to be too much, you may lose the whole afternoon. On a ship you’re always a few minutes from a quiet room, and forty five minutes later you’re back out. Or you’re not. Both are completely fine.😌

This isn’t the backup plan. It’s how you keep the rest of the week.

➡️And it isn’t only your child who gets to settle. When the day is this easy, you’re regulated too…… which is the whole reason coregulating works. 💜

I get it. You don’t want your vacation memories filled with everyone burnt out. That is always my goal here.🤗

Is a cruise right for every family? No. But figuring out what IS right for yours is what I do full time. It’s what I live and breathe.
