Maytav Bus Company is currently accepting applications for Transportation Supervisor CDL B Licensed to fill a permanent, direct-hire position in Oaklyn, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in route driver supervision, operations management, and process control and improvement. MUST HOLD VALID CDL B LICENSE driver’s license, preferably with route delivery experience, or a willingness to obtain one.
The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of the Maytav fleet, with due regard for customer needs. The responsibilities of this position will include but not be limited to overseeing the local drivers’ performance, ensuring proper communication between the Employees and Management, the implementation of new routes, and adapting Maytav capabilities to provide safe, efficient, high quality, transportation service.

Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 6:00am to 4:00pm
- At least 1.5hr break (with certain exceptions)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Dispatch
- Answering phones and radio to assist drivers, clients, and parents
Buses
- Making sure drivers have adequate bus monitors and equipment.
- Making sure that a substitute driver or substitute bus has the proper equipment.
- Ensuring all vehicle documents and receipts are filed properly according to each vehicle.
Drivers
- Maintaining an accurate and current driver roster.
- Ensuring sure all driver credential info is up-to-date
- Setting up drivers for recertification of their endorsements.
- Setting up DOT medical exams when needed and sending physicals to Harrisburg and feds
- Ensuring each new driver is enrolled in Foley random selection system and sent for a pre-employment drug test.
- Helping maintain relationships between Bus Operator and Monitors
- Running MVR reports on all new drivers, adding them to our insurance policies, and removing drivers who are not employed with us.
- Running annual MVR reports on all drivers and properly filing them.
- Tracking each bus using our software to monitor their progress on each route
- Answering questions from the District, Commission, or Parents regarding the whereabouts of any particular bus.
Reports and Correspondence
- Filling out license plate info for the School District and Commission.
- Creating new route sheets for both summer and school year and as needed
- Creating incident reports and sending them to the School District and Commission as needed
- Responding to District or Commissions emails regarding students or any other issue
Secretarial
- Ordering food for meetings.
- Answering phones.
- Keeping track of office supplies and reordering.
- Occasionally running errands to Walmart or Home Depot.
- Sending all receipts and/or violation notices to our finance department.
- Ensuring each bus has a valid original registration and insurance card in the vehicle
- Distributing out and collecting driver pre trip inspections and maintaining records.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of state and local school system transportation laws
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Google Docs/Sheets)
- Ability to analyze data and make independent supervisory decisions based on the information available
- Ability to express ideas effectively both orally and in written form
- Ability to work well with and properly manage employees
- Ability to make quick decisions under stress
- Extensive knowledge of administrative and supervisory practices and techniques involved in direction school transportation programs
Qualifications and Certifications
- Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) in good standing – or willingness to obtain
- Passenger and School Bus Endorsements (greatly preferred)
- Clean driving record
- High-School Diploma or Equivalent Certification
