– After World War II, the Port issued progress reports and newsletters, which gradually evolved into a magazine. The Port of Oakland Compass (August 1932 issue), a monthly publication from 1932-1942, published by the Board of Port Commissioners, informed the public about Port of Oakland activities and promoted the Port in the community.
