Good news for all those who like non-stop flights from DC. United will continue non-stop service to Edinburgh, Scotland year-round. Service is currently daily going to 5 days a week from 26 Oct - 5 Jan. resuming on 20 Feb, before returning to daily service on 29 Mar 2026.

This is a great destination for those who enjoy the outdoors and less crowds when you get out in the country.

So who's ready to don a kilt and try some haggis?

It's countdown to 7 May. Do you have a REAL ID? That's a driver's license with a star in the upper corner, a passport, a global entry card, military id, Department of Defenise ID, green card needed to board aircraft beginning 7 May.

If you have no REAL ID and you have a flight to catch May 7 or the weeks following? Please arrive 3 hrs early for your domestic flight so you have time for additional verification checks required.

And then go get that appointment to get an enhanced driver's license that is REAL ID compliant. 😊

I hear it time and again. Europe is so expensive. France, Italy, the UK can be very expensive, especially during the summer. There are still ways to visit Europe and experience wonderful history, culture, food and wine at more affordable prices. Top of the list for affordability - Poland! Also consider Finland, Austria and Germany! Affordability gets even better during off seasons and you don't have the crowds either. Witam Poland! Hello Poland!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Effective 7 May 2025 you will need a REAL ID to board a commercial domestic flight in the US. A REAL ID is a compliant driver's license or state ID card (must have a star in the upper right corner for VA license holders), a passport or passport card, a DHS trusted traveler card (Global Entry, NEXUS, Sentri or FAST, US Department of Defense ID or a permanent resident card.

Of course, the driver's license is what most are accustomed to using, but if it is not a REAL ID with the star, you can use a passport or one of the other ids above as well.

Need more info? Go to the www.dhs.gov/real-id OR for Virginia residents go to www.dmv.virginia.gov/licenses-ids/real-id.

REMEMBER - Starting May 7 don't go to the airport without a REAL-ID!
