From Donald: Ready or not she is in her way to Maine. Before Jameson passed away, he had contacted this gentleman about buying this boat. It’s a McKenzie Cuttthunk and it was built on Cape Cod. It was the only boat “designed by fish” - lol She was built for inshore striper fishing and gunkholing up the coast. She’s 26 foot long. She’s Honduras mahogany on White Oak. So during the talks with this gentleman, Robin, the conversations abruptly ended on May 28 at 11:15 in the morning. I was contacted by the Boat Yard recently and they said that Robin wanted to give me the boat in memory of my son. So somehow again this community wraps its arms around me - the boat is on its way up and I’m going to be working with and teaching the homeschool kids how to do simple boat, repairs, sanding, refinishing, etc. and hopefully the boat will be in the water soon and will continue our adventures. The three women that have been helping me out has decided we’re going to name her THE JAMESON. And so it begins. See you down river.
