Motor Carrier Service, LLC We work with customers of all sizes, from small local companies to Fortune 500 companies, offering p MCS Trucking History
• Motor Carrier Service, Inc.

was started in the mid 1970's by Harold and Lois Tuttle. Deregulation came to the industry in 1980 and with it, massive changes. Many Carriers and small fleets failed to survive deregulation and terrible business conditions of the early 80's, but MCS bucked the trend.

• In 1986, Keith Tuttle was named President of MCS and that same year the company applied for and was granted Interstate Operating

Authority from The Interstate Commerce Commission. With our own Operating Authority, MCS was able to maintain profitability and hire the key personnel necessary to fuel continued growth. Many of those key personnel are still with MCS today.

• In 1991, MCS was granted Property Brokerage Authority which allowed the company to offer a full menu of services for truckload shippers. Motor Carrier Service Logistics has since been incorporated to service the brokerage component of the business.

• In 1992, MCS moved to its present location in Northwood, Ohio, a suburb just east of Toledo. Our location is strategically centered in the heart of the "Crossroads Of America" with close proximity to Interstate 80/90 (east and west) and Interstate 75 (north and south). Our facility includes an 11,000 square foot equipment maintenance garage, a 10,000 square foot warehouse and ample truck and trailer parking.

Jeff Burgard there are no words to express the thanks MCS has for you. Again as always you have gone above and beyond what is normally required to honor all the fallen hero’s at Arlington National Cemetery. You are a great ambassador for MCS but set an example for all those involved. Thank you very much

It is this time of year again. Below is a family in need for the holiday. I will be accepting donations starting Tuesday 11/23 through Friday 12/17. I found this family through the Leading Families Homes website.

There you can click adopt a family. I choose this family to help this year. I will be posting this on the MCS Facebook and putting out flyers. You can donate gifts, cash, gift cards, food. If you donate cash, I can buy a toy or food item if you wish not to shop. I can also wrap the gifts you wish not to wrap.

Below is their family picture, and their story along with their Amazon wish list that can also be found on the Leading Family Homes website.

This is a single dad with two kids. He's trying to make it on his own. His wife left their family due to a substance use issue, and he was left to raise his daughter and son alone. When he came to our shelter, he didn't know how to do his daughter's hair or pack his son's lunch. Today, he has a full-time job, a home for his children, and he's active in our behavioral health, education, and economic programs. We've seen growth, but rarely like this. Through it all, he's been resilient, calm, and determined. He hasn't given up, and his children are better for it. In fact, they are happy, healthy, safe, well-cared-for, and some of the most curious and imaginative kids we've ever seen. This dad has come a long way from the shy, uncertain father he was at first to the courageous, strong, and confident man he's become. We're proud to be a part of his journey.
