We're hiring a MARINE MECHANIC!
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting and inspecting motors to locate defective parts.
- Operating boats to conduct operational tests.
- Starting motors and monitoring performance for signs of malfunction (e.g., smoke, excessive vibration, misfiring).
- Adjusting carburetor mixtures, electrical point settings, or timing while motors are running in water-filled test tanks.
- Repairing engine mechanical equipment (e.g., power tilts, bilge pumps, power take-offs).
- Servicing marine drivelines.
The ideal candidate is certified, has a good working knowledge of boat systems, enjoys working outside, familiar with computers and diagnostic equipment, able to stand for long periods of time, able to lift heavy objects, and has a clear understanding of marine engines/components.
Relocation assistances for travel can be negotiated! This is a year round position.
