LAST STOP!!!

Costa Rica might seem like nonstop jungle adventure, and it is!! But there's another coast that vibes much more with relaxation and ease...the northern-western coast of Guanacaste, where beautiful beachfront all-inclusives line the coastline, and excursion desks cater to your every adventure or relaxation whim!! Adventure a little, but relax alot...the best of both worlds!? Definitely!

We grabbed a hopper flight from SJO to LIR, and landed at the most beautiful beachfront all-inclusive: Planet Hollywood Costa Rica. Gorgeous pools, great food, incredible views, calm family-friendly beach, relaxing spa and hydeotherapy, fun entertainment, endless shuttles, incredible service, resident iguanas, and an excursion and activity desk that won't quit!

The last two days have been a much needed vacation from our vacation, all in the name of research (of course!), and we're loving it!! 🌊😍🙌🤩🧘‍♀️🪷🍹🌴

For the ultimate wildlife adventure in Costa Rica, especially if you have kids along for the ride, do NOT miss doing a riverboat cruise...countless alligators, lizards, and birds...UP CLOSE and personal. My kids would have loooved this one!! 😍🙌👌

A must-do activity in Costa Rica, along any of its coastline, is a catamaran sail and snorkel. Our group had a BALL enjoying the cool breeze from the ocean, swimming, snorkeling, relaxing, sliding, drinking, and eating! Seeing dolphins was a nice touch!! 🤩🫶🐬🌊

We were absolutely charmed and delighted by the amazing Manuel Antonio National Park! This place is an intensely guarded, tropical paradise, sure to be here for humans to enjoy, for centuries to come. The most pristine beaches, beautiful jungle, lovely hiking and walking paths, and just crawling with wildlife; monkeys, sloths, crabs, and so much more!

You must have advanced reservations to enter this park (capacity controlled!), and you can bring ZERO food, glass, or plastic into the park..even gum gets tossed. Reusable water bottles are okay.

You will not be touching or holding monkeys or sloths...BUT you can observe and delight in them to your hearts content...as it should be! There is a gift shop and cafeteria IN the park, that is entirely fenced in, so monkeys can't access it. The monkeys are largely UN-interested in humans, as they don't get ANY food from them, but they are still endless adorable to watch and behold!! THIS PLACE IS A DREAM!! We loooved it!! 🤩😍🫶

Welcome to beautiful Costa Rica! An independent, proud, and modern nation, with a serious commitment to conservation and sustainability. Home to volcanoes, mystical coud forests, endless rolling mountains of jungle, rainforests, so many amazing hot springs, incredible resorts, beans and rice with no hot sauce in sight (they're NOT Mexico!?), coffee, chocolate, the freshest food and fruit juices, monkeys, sloths, snakes, frogs and endless reptiles, endless tropical birds and flowers, the Costa Rican $Colones, and the kindest, friendliest people. Pura Vida!!

We've spent the last two days exploring the Arenal Volcano area on a fun group tour, enjoying volcanoes through the clouded mists, amazing hot springs resorts, guided tours through the rainforests, waking up to bird song, transcendent yoga, and experiencing the magical cloud forest phenomenon. It's been incredible!

Next up, we're headed to the southwest coastal area of Puntarenas, and city of Jaco, where we'll experience the , ocean, and Manuel Antonio National Park. Stay tuned...🤩🫶😍
