Every Boat Needs An Anchor - and you need to know how to properly use it!

When you call us for assistance, chances are you have no ability to control your vessel and you're at the mercy of the wind & tide.

Your anchor will need to be deployed in order to hold your position and keep you out of harms way.

Be sure to inspect the anchor & the line attached to it, and confirm you have the proper length of anchor line for the areas you plan on boating.

We practice what we preach! We often remind our members & followers on social media to inspect, test, and maintain all navigation and life-safety equipment aboard their vessels — and we do the same.

For us, it’s an ongoing process, not just something done at the start of the season. We remain ready to respond when the call comes in, and get the job done safely & swiftly.

PS: Part of your inspections should include confirming the status of your Safe Sea membership and saving our phone number on your cell phone: 401-295-8711

Progress Photos on the Charleston Breachway: Safe/Sea Capt. Bob Disanto was in the area last week and shares these photos & video from the area.

In collaboration with the RI Department of Environmental Management (DEM), Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC), and the Town of Charlestown, long-term repairs to the Charlestown Breachway are being developed to improve safe navigation, stabilize the coastline, and preserve essential water flow to maintain ecological balance, water quality, and economic stability for the town.
