Large trucks and buses have huge blind spots. If you can’t see the driver in their mirror, they likely can’t see you. Give them space and pass safely.

Today is a day to honor and remember the brave service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe defending our freedoms.

On Memorial Day we take time to reflect on those sacrifices and the impacts it had on those left behind. Their sacrifice will never be in vain.

On behalf of the members of the VPAPD, we thank those who served and honor those who did not make it home.

As we continue to remember the sacrifices of those who came before us, we would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the effort our staff puts in everyday to ensure that America's Most Modern Gateway is safe and secure. Our biggest asset is our staff. Thank you for your service to the Port of Virginia.
