A new chapter has officially begun at Avondale Global Gateway 🌎

The first shipment of wood pulp arrived at the terminal, marking the return of regular wood pulp imports to Louisiana for the first time in more than 30 years.

What started as a long-term vision is now moving through the terminal in real time, powered by strategic investment, infrastructure improvements, and coordination across vessel, warehouse, and rail operations. This milestone reflects the continued growth of Avondale Global Gateway as a multimodal hub built to support global partners and long-term industrial opportunity along the Mississippi River.

The first Sail 250 ship has arrived ⚓

The HMS Gladan made an early arrival ahead of Sail 250 New Orleans, docking directly outside the Host Agency office in the French Quarter.

As Presenting Sponsor of Sail 250 New Orleans, Host is proud to serve as Vessel Agent for four foreign-flagged naval ships, including the HMS Gladan, HMS Trent, ROU Capitán Miranda, and HNLMS Friesland.

In addition, Host is serving as Protective Agent on behalf of New Orleans & Company, coordinating maritime logistics for all 12 vessels participating in the event. We are proud to help welcome these ships and crews to New Orleans ahead of an exciting week on the riverfront.
