Finally got around to making Ice her own "pretty" bridle to run in. Been running her for 2.5 years in one of the plain leather headstalls that I keep on all the "home" bits, so I figured it was time she had one made just for her (and that would fit her little head).

These are hands down my favorite curbs. I prefer the feel of a leather curb to any chain or bead curb, but I ride in a lot of hacks, high purchase bits, and gag bits. The problem with that is that most leather curbs that I find in tack stores and feed stores is that they're way too short for the bits I like.
So I started making these XL (extra long) leather curbs. They're 10-13" and work well for most bits that need a longer curb. I added a couple of pictures of the one on Jack's hack, and it even has enough holes that it could be loosened another inch, which actually makes it a little longer than the chain the hack came with.

Square buckles are $15 and cart buckles are $20 on the website.

I do recommend using them on a bit until they're broken in. They're not stiff, but they do hold their shape very well when they're new and and it can push the cheeks of the bit away from the horse. That's not a problem with the bits, but it can make nosebands fit a little tighter, so I typically don't use them on hacks and combos until they're broke in.

I'm still taking in saddles for cleaning and repair, but turn around time may be a bit longer when the weather's nice.

Finished version 1 of my take on a lariat/leather halter. I love the way it fits the 3-year-olds and the horses with smaller heads (even though I forgot to take pictures 🙈). It's a little tighter than I like my halters to be on the older horses, so I'm definitely going to have to make a version 2, but then these will go up on the website.

I also need to order more rope for these, so drop a comment with what rope colors you want to see 👇

A few days late posting, but got these halters off to their new owner.

Blue has been added as an option on the website.

The white was made from some leftover muletape from back when I hand dyed all the muletape. Should I bring it back as an option?

Not doing any sales this weekend, but if you're looking for a deal, I have a halter/leather bundle on the Blazin Barrels silent auction. It ends Monday at 7pm

Last I checked, current high bid is $75. Halters are $65, spur straps and coozies are usually 50-75 each, so over $200 in value. And I'll cover cost of shipping if necessary.

Link to the post to bid. You'll have to join the group.

Need a blank breast collar to add stones/bling to but can't find any that are good quality and made in the USA? I got you covered.
Blank breast collars for DIYing your own tack are now live on the website. The one pictures is the center plate style in the color walnut. I can also do red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, pink, and saddle tan. Natural (undyed) is also a great option, especially if you want to try your hand at tooling but don't want to have to assembled a breast collar. They also take acrylic leather paint very well (I like Angelus).
They're made from Herman Oak leather (made in the USA and some of the best leather you'll find) and steel hardware (can also do brass upon request).
