Travel Package Pricing…….Facts not Fiction (CLEARING THE AIR)
Having been in the travel business since 1977, I have come across a number of misconceptions about our industry. I have been in my own business since September 1985 and can only speak to our booking procedures and policies. All of this has been mentioned previously on our web site, on Face Book at the CTP BLOG page, in direct emails to our clients, etc. but it is worth repeating every once in a while……
Fact: No service charges
Cataract Travel Planners does not charge any service fees for cruises, tours, etc. This would include the very popular packages to all inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico, international tours such as Trafalgar, Globus, etc, domestic packages to popular US destinations such as Las Vegas, Hawaii, Orlando, cruises, etc.
Fact: Packages quoted in CAD can be paid with Canadian Funds or converted into USD.
Cataract Travel Planners can quote Hamilton and Toronto departures to the all inclusive resorts to our clients in Canadian Funds as well as converting them into US dollars at the current exchange rate.
Fact: All promotions offered by cruise lines and tour operators are available through Cataract Travel Planners.
Cataract Travel receives and can provide to our clients all promotions offered by vendors such as Walt Disney World Vacations, cruise lines, etc. This includes early booking discounts, reduced deposit amounts, and relaxed cancellation policies
Fact: We deal with all tour operators and cruise lines.
Cataract Travel will search out the best pricing by checking with all vendors (tour operators and cruise lines) that offer the type of package you are requesting.
The benefit to you the traveler:
Cataract Travel researches and coordinates your travel plans at no additional cost to you and saves you the time consuming exercise of visiting multiple web sites searching out each vendor’s offer. By allowing Cataract Travel to handle your travel arrangements you also have someone to reach out to before, during or after you vacation when you need assistance.
How is this possible?
The vendors (tour operators and cruise lines) pay a travel agency a commission for these bookings similar to a real estate agency receiving a commission for selling a house. For this reason there is no need to charge any additional fees to our clients for the service we provide.
