LOOKING FOR AN EVENT PHOTOGRAPHER

The Chad Draeger/T-Bone Memorial Demolition Derby is looking for a photographer for our June 12 & 13, 2026 event in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

This is a paid position, but we're not looking for a large production company or someone expecting a major payday. We're more looking for someone who enjoys the demolition derby atmosphere, wants to be part of the event, and can help capture one of the most memorable weekends of the year.

We're looking for someone willing to cover the entire event, including:
- Pits and tech inspection
- On-track action
- Winner's photos
- Drivers, crews, fans, and candid moments throughout the weekend

Motorsports photography experience is preferred, especially demolition derby photography. The ideal candidate understands the sport and can anticipate the moments that matter.

The Southern Iowa Fairgrounds only allows GOLF CARTS on the grounds to be used around the campgrounds, infield and to/from the track.

โŒ No Side-by-Sides
โŒ No UTVs
โŒ No ATVs/Four Wheelers
โŒ No Mini Bikes

This is a Southern Iowa Fairgrounds rule and will be enforced throughout the event weekend.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping us follow the facility's policies, so we continue this event here.

๐Ÿšจ FIRE JACKETS ARE MANDATORY ๐Ÿšจ

We continue to get questions about fire jackets, so we want to make this very clear for all drivers competing. Drivers must have a qualified race fire jacket or equivalent in order to compete.

This is not optional and is an insurance requirement.

Accepted:
โœ”๏ธ SFI Rated Race Jackets
โœ”๏ธ Fireman Style Jackets

NOT Accepted:
โŒ Carhartt style shirts/jackets
โŒ Fire rated work shirts
โŒ Sweatshirts or layered clothing
โŒ Welding Jackets

We understand not everyone agrees with every rule, but safety has to come first. Yes it will be June and probably hotโ€ฆ but so is a fire!
This rule is in place to help protect drivers and keep our events insured and operating moving forward.

No exceptions!!

Drivers are traveling from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arkansas, Nebraska, Missouri and everywhere in between for the SSW Team division in Oskaloosa, Iowa for the Chad Draeger / T-Bone Memorial Derby.
