This right here is one of the BIGGEST differences between a standby flight nanny and what we do at Paws Up Express ✈️🐾
This poor puppy was supposed to leave to his forever family yesterday morning… but because the drop off location was missunderstood, the entire flight was missed, and now everyone is scrambling trying to find a nanny already headed that direction TODAY. 😩 to a SMALL REGIONAL AIRPORT THAT HAS 1 FLIGJT IN AND 1 FLIGHT OUT PER DAY...
When you book a standby nanny, they are often flying on buddy passes or standby tickets. That means if plans change, airports change, flights fill up, delays happen, or they miss a flight… there usually isn’t a simple solution. The whole trip can completely fall apart.
With us, we fly on BOOKED/CONFIRMED tickets. ALWAYS.
Not standby.
Not “hoping” to make the flight.
Confirmed seats. ✔️
So if something unexpected happens and pickup changes from GPT to MSY, or a timing issue comes up, I can simply CHANGE our confirmed ticket and adjust the route. We aren’t starting over from scratch trying to “catch whatever opens.”
Does that sometimes make us more expensive? Absolutely.
But there’s a reason for it. 👏
You’re not just paying for a seat on a plane.
You’re paying for reliability, flexibility, experience, backup plans, less stress, and someone who knows how to problem solve in real time when travel chaos inevitably happens.
Jason stopped what he was doing (probably in the pig pen🤣) to drive 6 hours to pick up this sweet boy and was on the 1st flight out of New Orleans this morning.
Just because something is the cheapest option doesn’t mean it’s the BEST option. 🐾
We will probably never be the cheapest…
But we will ALWAYS work to be the least stressful option for both you and your fur baby. ❤️✈️
I wrote a whole article about stand-by vs confirmed for you -->
