Before you pick a resort, think about the vibe you actually want for your trip.

Do you want quiet and romantic?
Fun and social?
Luxury and elevated?
Adventure-filled?
Budget-friendly but still beautiful?
Adults-only and relaxing?

Not every resort fits every traveler, and that is why choosing the right one matters so much.

Two resorts can be in the same destination, have similar pricing, and look beautiful online, but the experience can feel completely different once you get there.

For honeymooners especially, this matters. Your resort should match the kind of memories you want to make together.

One of the biggest misconceptions about planning a honeymoon or vacation is that you have to pay for the entire trip all at once. ✈️🌴

In many cases, you can secure your trip with a deposit and make payments over time before the final balance is due.

That can make planning feel a lot less overwhelming, especially when you are also budgeting for a wedding, flights, excursions, outfits, and everything else that comes with travel.

Booking early gives you more time to spread out payments, choose better options, and avoid the stress of trying to pay everything at the last minute.

This is one of the reasons I encourage couples to start planning their honeymoon sooner rather than later.

Your dream trip may be more realistic than you think when you give yourself time to plan for it. 💙

For honeymooners, anniversary trips, and couples getaways, cruises can be a really fun way to mix relaxation with adventure.

You can spend one day exploring a new island, the next enjoying the ship, and another trying an excursion or romantic dinner.

There are cruise options for so many different travel styles too. Relaxed and casual, luxury and elevated, family-friendly, adults-focused, tropical, European, adventurous, or something in between.

I feel like there are two types of travelers:

The “everything has a place” traveler
and
The “my suitcase is now my dresser” traveler

The Dominican Republic is such a beautiful option for honeymoons, couples getaways, and all-inclusive vacations.

Punta Cana especially is known for its gorgeous beaches, clear blue water, beautiful resorts, and lots of all-inclusive options.

It can be a great fit for couples who want that tropical, relaxing, easy vacation feel without having to plan every single detail once they arrive.

Think beach days, pool time, spa appointments, romantic dinners, excursions, and plenty of time to just enjoy being away together.

Your honeymoon deserves more than “whatever is cheapest.” 💍🌴

I know weddings are expensive. I know budgets matter. And I will always help my clients find options that make sense for what they are comfortable spending.

But your honeymoon is not just another line item on the wedding checklist.

It is the first trip you take together after becoming husband and wife. It is the moment you finally get to slow down after all the planning, the decisions, the appointments, and the countdown.

The cheapest option is not always the best fit if the resort does not match your vibe, the location is not what you pictured, the room is disappointing, or the experience feels nothing like what you were dreaming of.

The goal is to find the right balance between budget, comfort, location, resort quality, and the kind of memories you actually want to make.

Your honeymoon should feel romantic, intentional, and worth looking forward to.

Let’s talk about something that is not always the most exciting part of planning a trip, but it is one of the most important: travel protection. ✈️

When you are investing money into a honeymoon, family vacation, cruise, or romantic getaway, you are not just booking a trip. You are protecting your time, your plans, and your peace of mind.

Travel protection can help with things like unexpected illness, delays, cancellations, lost baggage, travel interruptions, and other situations that can come up before or during your trip.

And honestly, life happens.

Weddings get stressful. Kids get sick. Flights get delayed. Weather changes. Bags get misplaced. Plans shift.

Of course, every policy is different, so it is important to understand what is and is not included before you purchase.

What is one place you would go back to again and again? ✈️🌴

You know the kind of place that just sticks with you.

Maybe it was the beach, the food, the people, the history, the views, or just the way you felt while you were there.

For me, that place is Boston. There is just something about the history, the city feel, the food, and the memories that makes it a place I would go back to over and over again. 💙

Some trips are fun, but some trips turn into memories you want to relive over and over again.
