When a school bus is stopped with flashing red lights on a divided highway, Georgia law still requires drivers traveling in both directions to stop unless a physical barrier, such as a concrete or cable barrier, separates the roadway.

A painted median or turn lane is not a physical barrier so vehicles are required to stop.

Stop for the bus. Watch for children. Lives depend on it.

⭐️The iconic school bus color is called National School Bus Glossy Yellow because it’s one of the easiest colors to see in daylight, rain, fog, and even at dawn and dusk!⭐️

The wait is over….“Wheres the Bus?” is NOW LIVE!!🎉🚍

After hard work, we are excited to announce that Where’s the Bus is now OPEN and parents can officially sign up! 🚌

How to access it?

✅Go to your Google Play Store or Apple App Store and search “Where’s the Bus”.

✅Once downloaded, click the “create account” button.

✅Select Coweta County.

✅Input your students Student ID number and birthdate.
- if you do not know your students ID number, please call your students base school to get that information.

🚨🚨Please know that your student MUST be assigned to a bus route in order for you to have FULL access to the app. In order to do so, please call Transportation or email [email protected] or [email protected].

📝If your student does ride the bus, please make sure that they know their Student ID (this is the same number that they use for their lunches and library books).

🏫The schools will issue them their QR Code that they can use to scan on and off the bus. This code NEVER changes. If your student misplaces the QR Code, please let the school know and they can send your student home with a new one.

The wait is almost over… Where’s the Bus is coming to Coweta County Schools Transportation! 🚍📱

We’re thrilled to announce that we’re preparing to launch a brand-new way for families to stay connected with their student’s school bus like never before!

With Where’s the Bus, you’ll be able to:

⏰ View estimated arrival times at your bus stop
🔔 Receive notifications as the bus gets close to your stop
🚧 Stay informed about delays and route updates
💙 Enjoy greater peace of mind knowing exactly where your student’s bus is during its route

Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to bring this service to our community, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

🚨 Registration is NOT open just yet, but don’t worry….we’ll be making another announcement as soon as families can begin signing up. We’ll also provide easy, step-by-step instructions to help you get started.

This is another exciting step toward improving communication, increasing convenience, and making the school day just a little easier for our Coweta County families.
